These are consensus dynasty rankings for year 2007 standard FBGs scoring no PPR

If you vote other, please specify.

Also, please comment on your vote, and list any player that should be nominated for the next round.

I like the chatter going on so lets keep that going as we vote. Discussion about why you prefer one of these players compared to the others is useful to everyone involved and offers insight into how people in your leagues may view these players compared to others.

gheemony made a great point about one way to consider dynasty value for players in rankings by giving 50% value to 2007, 33% to 2008, and 17% to 2009. I know there are many ways to look at this and how hard it is to project for players even for one year. But I think it is significant enough that its worth mentioning. I am sure everyone has a different formula that they might use. But this one to me has some good balance and makes a lot of sense. And now has become a topic of discussion in this thread: http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...howtopic=296123 I welcome you all to read this and offer your perspectives on methods you use in determining where to rank players in dynasty leagues.

Going with Turner here.
Although I like Turner, if drafting today, I'm taking Jacobs.I wouldn't trade Turner for Jacobs though, so it's just a matter of current value. Jacobs has a much better chance of starting somewhere next year.

Jamal Lewis is a UFA however I think he has the clearest path to starting of the Rb options available here. I also think he played better when Billick took over play calling.Lewis in 2006:

While I agree his YPC of 3.6 was not that great he did get a heavy workload. I am not sure if I could pass on him here.

Jamal is not a free agent. he is one that many think will be cut. He is due a $5 mill roster bonus and another $5 mill salary for this year. The Balt Sun article I read said that the Ravens might looka t trying to re-sign him for one year at $3 mill. Hope this helps.

Oh really? I saw Jamal on a free agent list recently but that list must have been old or wrong I guess. Yes thanks for the info.

At this "price" I can't imagine Turner will be on my roster next year. This is just too high for a player that still has to prove he is an every down guy. Oh yeah, he still doesn't have a full time gig lined up.

Do you see Lamont Jordan having any competition? He has 1200 fewer career carries than Lewis and is only one year removed from a top 10 season.

A case can be made for Lamont Jordan as well. Mt main point being that these are some Rbs who have more clear paths to starting that Turner does.I people are looking at this situation based on what they expect Turner to do in 2008 then I can go along with that based on what they think he is capable of. For example looking at the next 3 years if people have Turner outscoring Lewis and Jordan because of what they expect Turners 2008-2009 numbers to be then that vote makes sense.Just playing devils advocate here as far as short term prospects of these players in 2007.FWIW I thought Fargas outplayed Jordan while Jordan was still healthy however.
