Dynasty RB Update.... My top 25 (1 Viewer)

Bush would be in front of Gore if it weren't for Duece.. right now; Gore is uncontested for his position while Bush still has atleast another yr of sharing
Sorry, this just always reads funny to me in light of recent history.
OK :hey:As for KJ lovers.. Again; who are you taking off the list for a guy whoes going to miss up to half this season. And TJ lovers.. you'll have a nice season this yr; maybe even another nice season in 2008.. but in 2009 when hes 31 you better have some one else ready to go.. because the Jets will. Thats why hes not in my sights in the Top 25.. the RB class this yr is very good, a lot of young talent out there; which is why TJ is pushed out.

In 2009 when TJ is 31 Thenry will also be 31 that season. LT and LJ will be 30 that year, they all seemed to make the list. :hey:

True...But LJ & LT's teams are comitted to them.. those Backs will recieve the full load for the next 2 too 3 yrs and will be atleast top 10..I placed Henry on the list because he's in the best Run System in the NFL and i do not see M Bell as a threat. Heres what I'm saying about TJ.. if you are planning on taking him as your #2 back for 2007.. you must draft a rookie back or someone that is very young (like L. White) shortly afterwards. Now if you or I land TJ as a #3; back up plan RB... then we would be  .

As noted above, I think there are about 7-8 players who are in contention for the last 3-4 slots in a dynasty RB top-25 list. Unfortunately, the one player I would definitely delete from your list is Edge. I say this very reluctantly because I've loved Edge through his career and pulled strongly for him to come back from the serious ACL he suffered in his 3rd season -- which he did very successfully. But right now, I'd put Edge in the RB26-30 tier for dynasty purposes -- mainly because of his age and cumulative wear and tear (2500+ carries, etc.).For redraft, I think Edge is most likely in the top-25 this year, depending on how things evolve between now and draft-time. But I wouldn't take him top-25 in an initial dynasty draft.

If KJ wasn't injuried... he would be infront of Edge; and if the Jets didn't love L Washington... TJ would be in front of Edge as well.Heres why i have Edge on the list.. He has no competition in the position. The new staff as already said that Shipp will back Edge up. For atleast the next 2 yrs; unless of an serious injury of course, Edge will be one of the rare backs that is getting the majority of carries. In a Dynasty; Edge is a great late #2 back (a guy you can get in the 4th or even later) or an excellent #3 Trade Bait back. thats why i like him.

I agree with all your points about Edge except that he's a "great late #2 back" -- I don't want a 29 year old with 2500+ carries and 8 hard seasons (and playing for AZ) as my RB2. For RB1 and RB2, I'm looking for upside and "stud-potential" and will make aggressive picks. For RB3, I'll most likely play it conservative. For RB4 I'll take BPA, but I'll take a chance on someone with questions if the upside is there.Ok, here's another way to look at it. Who's likely to fall after the top-24? When your next draft pick comes up (initial dynasty), assume that there are 24 RBs already taken. Who's likely available? I'd say the most likely candidates are:EdgeKJTJonesBJacobsWould you take Edge over KJ, TJ or Jacobs? I wouldn't. If I'm looking for my 3rd RB, then I'd take TJ as the safe choice -- granted it's likely that TJ will share touches with LWashington that will cut into his production and Edge may have better stats next year. But I think TJ has at least two more years of solid production left which is probably one more year than Edge has -- and that's very important to me in dynasty. Now it's possible that they both have 3 more years left and that Edge produces better stats each year, but the odds are against it IMO. Bottom line - my assessment is that the expected number of fpts over the next 3 years is higher for TJ than Edge (from a statistical perspective).P.S. If only Edge, KJ and Jacobs are available for RB3, then I'm probably taking Jacobs because of his age and opportunity and lack of wear and tear -- again conservative because of the injury although I think KJ's got the most upside of them all, if healthy. If KJ falls a lot and I'm looking for RB4, then I'd snatch him up.

In my List.. Jacobs (#22) goes before Edge (#24)As of now KJ will miss about half this season; so what good is he.And I have a feeling that the Jets will be looking to work Washington in the rotation w/ TJ.So yes; I would take Edge over KJ & TJ
