[DYNASTY] sack artists (1 Viewer)

Hi guyz!

I'm playing in a 12 teams [DYNASTY] league where IDP scores only for sacks(6) and ints(8)... We start: 3/1 or 2/2 : DL/DB... where DL includes LB also...

(I know - weird settings!)

I have been offered Charles Grant for a pick that would equates to Mario Williams...

I have Ogunleye, KGB and DHoward on board - and JHall will probably be a cap casualty...

Would you pull the trigger?... Will Super Mario be a constant 8/10/12 sacks kind of guy?... Or would who "go safe" and grab Grant even though he's 28 already...

Thoughts?

Depending on what other players you could draft with the pick you are trading for Charles Grant is what I would be looking at.

I definitly would try to get Grant. I think he will bounce back nicely and be a top DLineman for several more years.

Rookies tend to take a year or more to hit thier peak at the Dline position.

When just comparing these 2 players I prefer Grant to Mario because he is proven. But I do think Mario is the best prospect to come in to the league since Peppers.

I think Grant has a better chance of outperforming Williams in regards to sacks. Why??

1) Grant will remain at DE on passing downs, while Williams will be moved to DT.

2) Grant has a resume with two 10+ sack seasons over the past three campaigns.

3) Grant quite simply has more NFL experience.

4) Grant plays his home games on much-faster turf, while Williams' home games are played on grass.

I think Grant will have 10 sacks, while Williams will have 8.
