Dynasty Sleeper of all sleepers (1 Viewer)

Tavaris Jackson, back up QB for Minnisota. He has already moved into the back up spot as a rookie and Brad Johnson isn't getting any Younger. Keep your eyes on this one.

problem is, he's already on most people's radars...edit to add:in my initial dynasty draft he went ahead of Clemons, Rodgers, Croyle, A.Smith :o , Romo, Garrad etc.

That surprises me. I've been in two dynasty drafts. I drafted him and Marques Colston last two rounds in both leagues and people look at me like I'm crazy.

Yeah I've heard his name called quite a few times this offseason...

are you joking ?

sleeper ?

this guy is like the # 3 QB people want in dynasty leagues ..

he was a round # 1 rookie pick ..

not really a sleeper .. but will be good in 2 years :wall:

I'm trying to work a deal that will allow me to add him before the season starts later today. Otherwise, our rosters lock for the season. High drama!!

He was the 3rd qb taken in my rookie draft
Before Cutler?
It's gotta be before Young. TV is a nice player and I'm sure he'll make a competent starter at some point, but his FF upside is nowhere near Leinart/Young/Cutler.
Agreed. There's no way i would take him before Leinart/Cutler/Young...
My bad forgot about Cutler 4th qb taken sorry. High 2nd round pick.

He was a 2nd rounder in my league, and yes I got him.Got him and Croyle back to back.
I know you liked Croyle but was not aware you like Jackson that much in July. I am guessing Jackson moved up your rookie chart in August?

I heard Bollinger will be the #2 QB as Tarvaris progresses.
I saw that he was 3rd on the depth chart also, and was surprised. I thought he looked really good when I saw him play this preseason. Any Vikes fans have a take on this situation? If Johnson goes down for extended time, would Bollinger or Jackson get the call? Bollinger isn't a good QB at all.

I don't have ANY FACTS to back this up but I think (hope) that if Johnson goes down they would go with Tarvaris, simply because I think Johnson is the only QB on the roster that can help them win now. If he goes down they just as well look to the future.

I'm sure you saw more of Jackson than I did in preseason, what is your take on him? Does he have a glaring weakness that would cause him to be at 3 right now?

Inexperience is the only one (which is a biggie). I think that we fans are a bit blinded by the "backup QB is the best on the team" type of thinking that always comes into play but the guy did look good. Very poised and made good decisions. The thing is...I think he will be the #3 because they don't think he is ready to come in off the bench for a series or two if Johnson gets dinged a bit. If they could game plan with him I think they would go with him. That is why I see him being the guy if Johnson goes down for an extended period. I don't think anyone thinks that Bollinger is anything but a fill in if need be. There is no future there so I don't think they would have him play extended periods of time.

Tony Scheffler, TE for Denver.

TE Tony Scheffler's phone rang with an urgent message from a friend in Michigan. The buddy drafted Scheffler in the third round of a fantasy football league, and wanted to share the good news. "I was shocked that he'd pick me that high," Scheffler said. "I hope this isn't a league that's costing him a lot of money."

I know he's not a huge sleeper, but outside of his pals, he does not seem to being taken very highly in most drafts.

 I think you guys got a good QB there.
