Dynasty start-up auction strategy (1 Viewer)

My league is switching to a dynasty format this year. 1 QB 1 RB 2 WR's 1 TE 1 Flex ppr / 1DL 1LB 1DB 1 DFlex Big play defensive scoring. Auction, 22 total roster spots.

Here is my strategy so far going into the auction. Going after young proven talent. What do you guys think?

QB Mathew Stafford

I'm still concerned about his injury history, especially in a dynasty. Thinking I might be able to go a little older in dynasty at QB.

RB Ray Rice

RB Chris Johnson

RB Matt Forte

RB LeSean McCoy

RB Jamaal Charles

RB CJ Spiller

RB Jonathan Stewart

McCoy as the starter with Stewart and Spiller on the bench would be ideal.

I'm thinking Harvin and Bryant at WR.

I think I'll target Gresham, Gronk's going to go for an inflated value right now.

Bowman and any of the other guys I can get for $1.

I would be happy with any of these DB's for $1. I'm guessing Berry will not be an option.

What do you guys think? Is this the best strategy for a start-up dynasty auction?

How expensive is Stafford? I would keep him. He stayed healthy last year and Calvin is locked up. He is the type of guy to build around. That is what I am doing in my contract league.

This year will be the start-up auction dynasty. I'm guessing he will go for a pretty good price. We have a Detroit fan in the league and he had Calvin Johnson and Stafford last year. I'm thinking I might try and get RG3 (future star) Andy Dalton (great QB2 for a long time) and Matt Schaub (cheap vet)instead of Stafford.

I don't know much about IDP but reading a recent DLF article, he basically said pick very cheap, very high upside players. Then use WW since not much of difference after elite. So that's that for IDP. On offense, my strategy would be simple. You only have to start 1 RB, so I would go after one of the top 3, in order McCoy, Foster, Rice. Then try to grab Rodgers, as he gives you such an advantage at QB. TEs I would target AHern if going for reasonable price, if not, grab two high upside guys like Olsen and Rudolph.

Have you been in a dynasty start-up? If so, did everyone go for young talent? I'm a contrarian by nature. Should I do the opposite and go after older players? Drew Brees, Adrian Peterson, Andre Johnson, Antonio Gates? Try to steal a championship right away?

Ya that's a good idea. I should have drafted JPP in the last round of our draft last year (I grabbed Cliff Avril instead) I also picked up Navarro Bowman as a free agent. 99% chance I will not be able to get Rodgers. The Rodgers owner has had him for 4 years and won a championship with him last year. I like the idea of McCoy and Hernandez, maybe Fred Davis.
