I'm an experienced commish forming a new dynasty league. I have 14 excellent owners and looking for 2 more. 

League features:

- 40-man rosters, start full 11 IDPs

- balanced and sophisticated scoring system designed for multiple ways to build a successful roster (TE and QB premium scoring, big play defense scoring).

- 1/3 of dues set aside for multi-year prizes to promote long-term owner commitment. 

- initial player disbursement will be by player auction. After that, just rookie drafts, in-season free agency and trades. 

- scheduling will promote franchise rivalries while not hurting postseason chances if top 2 teams happen to be in same division. 

I put a lot of thought into this league based on my 25+ years of FF.  $100 annual dues, prepay 1/2 of next year's dues to show commitment, + $5 administrative fee to pay for league website.

I have received some surprising (to me, at least) pushback from potential owners about having an auction for the initial player distribution. I have long experience with player auctions and view them as far superior to drafts as every team has an equal opportunity to acquire every player. Whereas in a draft, one team gets the random opportunity to obtain, say, Beckham, or trade him to another team in a likely overpay and keep the value of that draft slot solely for themselves. In an auction, if one team overpays to get a certain player, the benefits are shared by all the other teams with less competition from that one team in bidding on future players.

We're going to have a slow auction where each team nominates 1 player every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with a 24-hour timer that is re-set each time a new TEAM becomes the high bidder on that player  after a couple weeks, we'll start nominating 2 players at a time to get all rosters filled in a timely manner
