In a dynasty league when you can clearly see its not going to be your year. Is it better to be the first team to start trading off players or wait and possibly capitalize at the deadline.

In a dynasty league when you can clearly see its not going to be your year. Is it better to be the first team to start trading off players or wait and possibly capitalize at the deadline.

Wait...because you have people playing off each other.  Wait until the last week before the deadline and then auction off your players to the top team.  Nobody at the top wants the other guy at the top to get Mahones

Depends.  Put players on the trade block and see what kind of offers come in.  You don't have to make any deals but if someone is willing to overpay a bit now to get a guy for more of the season you may get some quality returns.  

ETA:  I hate when people give up after week 1.  Too much can happen to just throw in the towel after one week.
