scraping the bottom for my last FFPC 1QB dynasty league (Keep only 14 skill position players) and I have to chose between Renfrow WR LV, Claypool WR CHI or Haskins RB TEN.
My roster is hopefully in the last year of its rebuild and pretty evenly "ok" at both RB and WR. Liked Renfrow as my last keeper before they signed Meyers, but now not so sure. Hate the idea of keeping Claypool who I've pretty much written off at this point. And Haskins only value is IF Henry finallys hits the wall (I don't roster Henry in this league) and then IF he's actually going to be the main starter there, which I'm not sure is a lock.

Tough call… but my cut would be Renfrow now with Meyers in Vegas…. Jacobs staying means fewer targets after D’Adams too. Alternatively Claypool with DJ Moore in Chicago to displace him as WR1
Boom/Bust RB are tough to find. Worth the spot.

I do think Renfrow offers the best shot at giving you some production next year but if in a rebuild or wanting to hang onto a potential rebounding trade asset I would hang onto Claypool in hopes he picks up his play and/or finds a more attractive destination when he reaches FA next off-season.

So…for seemingly the 1 millionth time, would anyone trade for LJax right now or nah?

FBG Has him as the 6th best QB in my format (SF). Is he really? Any concern he actually doesn’t play in 2023?

I think LJax is a guy to target. I'm just not sure right now is the time. The longer the contract "negotiations" happen, the more antsy owners will get. I'd let it ride right up until the NFL draft. Maybe put out a feeler a week or so before...

In principal I agree. But an NFL trade could derail that at literally any time. In that light it seems like waiting longer could work against me.

Of course, that's the risk. I just don't think a trade or contract offer will happen before the draft. It's a risk I'd be willing to take if I want to get good value,

Giving me flashbacks to my early desktop support days. Back then we didn’t have Remote Desktop apps, so it was basically walking executives through screen after screen - usually when they’re a couple cocktails deep in a hotel room somewhere.

Does he even have enough at QB behind Allen to facilitate a trade in the 1st place?

If you’re asking them to give up Allen and draft the 2nd or 3rd best rookie QB, that’s a tall order. If they have Allen, Hurts, & Fields, maybe a little easier.

So yeah - really hard to say what enough is when attempting to pry a top 2 SF option from someone.

On the buying side it’s absolutely worth the price, IMO. Getting Allen in SF is legendary & Njoku in TE-P is also fairly solid, if unspectacular.

But it’s not a bargain. It’s probably an overpay. Maybe by as much as the 1.06

But it probably doesn’t get done unless you overpay, IMO.

Admittedly, I’m not very high on him becoming the next big thing at the position while in Atlanta. I’m guessing his value is still high but I’m wondering if I should try and cash out now or wait and hope for a hot start to the season? Which I’m doubtful of happening.

My skill position players of note are: McCaffery, Mixon, and Swift at RB and Olave and Godwin at WR. I also have Engram and Hooper at TE. I was looking at someone like Tee Higgins as a potential trade target.

Again... really appreciate the feedback. Your question also got me thinking... In that scenario, if I were the Allen owner and I needed options at other positions, I'd look at selling Hurts or Daniels first. What could you get for those players, before you give up Allen. As the Allen owner, trading Allen feels like the nuclear option - imho. (I think I answered my own question. )

24 and QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/TE/SF/FL/FL

1 for 1, I'd stick with Pitts. IMHO, I think you're selling low right now (injury cloud, QB cloud, etc). You could potentially "trade down" to maybe Hock and a pick or vet WR - assuming you need WR. Patience in holding may be the best choice though.

I wouldn’t pay a late first for him for the reasons you stated.
I would be willing to part with an early/mid 2nd. I would probably wait until after the NFL draft though

I absolutely would pay a late first for Brown Assuming Hopkins gets traded. It’s possible Arizona drafts a WR but with this class not being very strong I’m not sure someone they draft will come in and challenge him. The only way I see that happening is if they trade down from 3, pick up later 1st rounders and use one on a WR. So I agree I’d wait until the draft to make a move but if they don’t spend a first rounder on a WR, I’d give up a later first for Brown if I needed a WR.

I own Marquise Brown in a 12 team 0.5 PPR 1QB 2RB 3WR 1TE 1 flex (WR,RB,TE) dynasty league.

I would not give up a future first in 1 QB or Superflex for him.

Current known first in the 1.09 to 1.12 in 1QB yes.
Current known first 1.08 - Wait and see.
Current known first 1.07 or higher - No.

I think Zach Charbonnet, Quentin Johnston, Jordan Addison, and Zay Flowers will at least all initially likely have more dynasty value and liquidity then Brown. I am not so sure about the RBs, WRs, and TEs after them though in a 1 QB league. If you're not sold on these guys, there is a higher chance someone in your league will to buy one of them at a premium then there is an owner who is will buy Hollywood at at a premium.

In a Superflex league I am guessing the top four QBs will have more dynasty value and liquidity then Brown next year so in Superflex I would not give up any pick 1.11 or higher for him and would wait and see with the 1.12.

We discussed him a while back and early 3rd was the consensus I believe, but mid-to-late 2nd seems fair. He is only 25 (26 in June)

He was peppered with targets while Nuk was suspended, so there’s some cause for promising, depending on Murray’s return date.

I just don’t love AZ offense in general. I think there’s enough risk there that I would be hesitant to overpay. Anything before pick 16 seems like too much. And it’s format dependent - in TE-P leagues, that 2nd round of FF drafts could be a bonanza.

I just posted in another thread that in an FFPC league if he was in the rookie draft pool I'd likely spend an early second. I might be a little higher then most.

Have not seen a trade for him but I had trade talks surrounding him just a day or so ago and thought I was close on a deal. Was offered Moore for Diontae Johnson. I rejected and offered Diontae/Doubs(who I was going to cut)/2.12 for Moore/2.4 Got rejected with comment he had Moore and Diontae closer then that.

A pack of skittles? If you have him, might as well hold, because you’re not going to get much. If you’re buying, then you’re probably looking at a 2nd round pick, because owners probably aren’t trading for a 3rd. However, the best way to buy is probably during the draft if said owner really has someone he wants in the third and you’re on the clock, you might get lucky.

I doubt anyone bites on that. Like I said, he could get lucky during the draft in the 3rd round if he’s on the clock and the Moore owner has to have a player and is willing to trade Moore for that 3rd round pick.

Elijah has some fans, and when he got traded, we didn't hear that the Jets were giving up on some malcontent. It was the Browns got their starting slot, and OMG what he will do with Watson. Fantasy community loves them some Elijah.

It’s only 1 set of rankings so grain of salt but right now, in FBG dynasty WR rankings, he’s in the same range as the likes of ARob, Thielen, Hardman and just below Claypool, Shakir, Metchie and KJ Osborn. By FFPC tight roster standards (keep only 14 skill position players), he’s borderline droppable depending on the rest of your squad

It’s so hard to say.

On the surface, it seems like fair value for Allen.

But here’s the thing - it has to fit the Allen owner’s needs. When trying to deal for an alpha QB like Allen, context is everything.

Does he need RB/WR?

Does he even have enough at QB behind Allen to facilitate a trade in the 1st place?

If you’re asking them to give up Allen and draft the 2nd or 3rd best rookie QB, that’s a tall order. If they have Allen, Hurts, & Fields, maybe a little easier.

So yeah - really hard to say what enough is when attempting to pry a top 2 SF option from someone.

Thanks @Hot Sauce Guy! I'm on the buying side of Allen, with fairly strong roster/assets and trying to determine whether the consolidation of assets into a top 2 "supermax" QB is worth the price. Cheers and thanks again for the input.

On the buying side it’s absolutely worth the price, IMO. Getting Allen in SF is legendary & Njoku in TE-P is also fairly solid, if unspectacular.

But it’s not a bargain. It’s probably an overpay. Maybe by as much as the 1.06

But it probably doesn’t get done unless you overpay, IMO.

I’ll play devils advocate here and say no. Don’t do it. That is a lot of assets to give up for one piece. Also, Allen is reckless and njoku doesn’t offer much as far as every week starters go.
