If you could choose between the two guys mentioned above in a [DYNASTY] performance + ppr league, who would it be?

I'm looking for the long term value of both players (i.e. leaving them on the bench for '06 and possibly '07 also) - since they are both raw "diamonds in the rough" kind of guys that seems to have unlimited potential...

I have seen a few threads about the kool-aid for Marshall - along with Champ Bailey's praise... I have read Bloom's rookie report (along with the comments for the fan club with CC)... I have also looked at the Shanahan's WR evaluation (Darius Watts) comments...

The sky's the limit for BabyTO - but I'm wondering why that many NFL teams passed on him?... up until the 4th round of this year's draft (Will Blackmon and Cory Rodgers picks come to mind - just in front of Marshall in the 4th)...

Another available player is Vincent Jackson picked in the second round of the '05 draft (since we only have a 6 round rookie/FaVet draft - only few rookies are drafted)... who was "relatively" quiet in his rookie season (3/59/0)...

Both players are coming dirt cheap in my league - but I'll probably have only one roster spot available...

That being said, who would you choose?

(Or, do you think it is wiser to leave the spot for someone else (as a 5th WR)?)

(If this as to be moved to AC - so be it... I was just thinking that it is general information on 2 young players)

This is a tough choice when you consider their talent, but due to the difference in their situations, I voted VJ.

Jackson has the size, speed and hands to be a solid WR#1 in SD. He has an accurate passer in Philip Rivers. Keenan McCardell is getting long in tooth and is in the final year of his contract in 2007 (IIRC).

Marshall has the physical tools as well, but with Javon Walker in Denver, Marshall will struggle to see WR#1 status for while.

Go Vincent Jackson!

Thanks for the info - this is exactly what I was looking for... I'm leaning that way also - the presence of Walker (up until Smith's retirement) would probably "cap" Marshall's numbers... even though he might develop a great rapport with Cutler... who knows?I think Jackson's situations will be ideal next year - one year of working with Rivers already (who will have to learn the ropes also) and no one stepping in his ways to prevent WR1 numbers...

Other thoughts?
