Dynasty: What do you think of.. (1 Viewer)

Has there been much on this guy? Looked like he had some good pre-season games, IIRC.

Looks like I was mistaken...only in week 4 of the preseason did he do anything particularly noteworthy. 5 catches for 64 yds.

Any good info to share on this guy?

Go check out our free stuff from the preseaosn on Hagan - that's the best info you'll get unsless there is an AState fan lurking here somewhere.

Buy buy buy. Hagan has good combine numbers, was an early pick, and was a dominant player in college. The scouting reports on him are good and he stood out to me in his highlights. He reminds me a lot of Muhsin Muhammad in terms of build, skill set, and playing style. There's no point selling him because he has almost no trade value. Hang onto him for a couple years and wait for him to get his shot.

Guys like Jennings and Colston are getting lots of love right now. That's fine, but don't forget that lots of WRs take years to make an impact. Donald Driver, TJ Houshmandzadeh, Bernard Berrian, Chad Johnson, Plaxico Burress, Jimmy Smith, Amani Toomer, and a host of other great WRs were virtually invisible as rookies. They eventually paid huge dividends.

Solid post, EBF.

Hagan is a guy I wanted to land in the one dynasty league I participate in... didn't happen though. For some reason the little I saw of him in college impressed me. Who knows if he pans out, but I think he has a decent chance... but you're right, it might take another year or two.

Loved the guy in college and IMO, he's got the skills to make-it in the NFL.

With an underachieving Booker and a smallish Welker (more of a 3rd WR),

Hagan should emerge as the #2 WR in Miami, either late this year or start

of 2007. I look for Hagan to be the 2007 version of the 2006 Berrian/Cotchery.

Does Hagan have that kind of game speed?

I agree. Redraft...get him off your roster. Dynasty...go buy him cheap and wait. I went to the Dolphins v. Texans game last Sunday. My little guy and I were there E-A-R-L-Y and caught all of the warm-ups, etc. Hagan is sick. You can tell a fair amount about watching players in pre-game. College performances and or resume are great and have there place. Watching a youngster among his immediate peer group at the pro level is just as informative if not more so. It was very clear Hagan was the best WR on the field not named Chambers. Why is he not seeing snaps? That is a question only Saban and Hagan can answer. Conversely, the kid is going to get his shot.He is, though, a little bit of a hot dog. Not once but twice he caught a post with his bicep and forearm. In other words he made his cut...ball in flight...he flexed his arm...squeezed...caught the ball between his bicep and forearm...without breaking stride.
