Interested in finding out which players are in the final year of their contract? Which players could be moving onto another team next year or up for a potential contract extension before their contract expires? KFFL's future-year free agent coverage keeps you in the know on when contracts are set to expire. Also, keep in mind some players may have clauses in their contract and be able to opt out of future years of their current contract. Should this happen, they will be added to the list at that time.

Donte Stallworth is in the last year of his deal. NO have been trying to trade him for some value as they will not be re-signing him.Ashley Lelie I believe is also in his last year.

William Green's contract is up after this year. I think he makes a great buy low candidate in dynasty leagues. Everyone has written the guy off, but he's never had a legitimate opportunity with a competent coaching staff. I could definitely see him having some success a year or two down the road.

I'll go through and find them all... or at least most of them, should take an hour or so but won't be able to get to it right away.

I'm fairly sure the Falcons have a team option on Schaub.

Is Michael Turner a free agent after this year? I thought I saw that he was, but not positive. If so, He could be the Lamont Jordan/Chester Taylor of next year.

Already mentioned = Chris Brown, but he won't land in a better situation than he had in 2005. Perma-RBBC type guy.

Potential = Jamal Lewis. Either one of the team or the player can terminate the contract at the end of this year. If either is unhappy = he is gone.

There should be bunch of guy from the 2003 draft who signed 4 year deals who will be UFA's.

Yes, but he's restricted and the Chargers will likely give him a 1st round tender.

Jason Witten

Mac Engel, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports the Dallas Cowboys would like to sign TE Jason Witten to a contract extension before the start of training camp. He could become a free agent after the 2006 season

another interesting blurb on this

The Cowboys would like to re-sign Jason Witten, Roy Williams, and Bradie James before training camp.

Impact: All three become free agents after the 2006 season. Williams is probably the key figure here because Dallas has replacements in hand for Witten and James should they leave.

Ladell Betts.

If he lands in a perfect situation, he might be able to imitate Lamont Jordan's landing in Oakland. More likely though, he'll be a backup or part of a RBBC.

Matt Schaub will be a restricted free agent after this season. He'll probably get a big enough offer that Atlanta can't/won't match, but they'll get draft pick compensation (or work a sign and trade deal of some sorts).

I thought David Garrard was going to be an unrestricted free agent after this year. I think he signed a 2 year extension and he was already a restricted free agent at the time.

Edited to say scratch what I said about Garrard. He signed a 3 year extension at that time. I thought it was 2 for some reason.
