If you vote other, please specify.

Also, please comment on your vote, and list any player that should be nominated for the next round.

I like the chatter going on in the 1st thread. So lets keep that going as we vote. I droped some players who didn't get votes in the last one.

Link to poll #6 http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...howtopic=292932

Voting between Anquan Boldin and Roy Williams was neck and neck and no clear leader after 146 votes so this poll will decide the winner.

1. Steve Smith

2. Chad Johnson

3. Larry Fitzgerald

4. Torry Holt

5. Reggie Wayne

I voted Roy WILLIAMS. Part of the reason is because he will be huge next year and years to come. The other reason is the other 2 guys I like are Andre Johnson & Harrison, and they were not listed as a choice. I would definetly take eith+er of thos+e two over Boldin.

I too vote for Roy, but would pick Andre or Roy over Boldin. Probabaly Harrison too.

Not to stir the pot (I just want a decision one way or another) BUT...I have to wonder about this wellspring of confidence in Roy Williams. Roy Williams plays for the Lions. A team that is still very shaky from a ownership and managerial standpoint. There is no garuntee that Martz will be part of thier orginization next year because he might get a HC position in 2007. Not to put too fine a point on it but that HC position might be with the Arizona Cardinals.Roy Williams doesen't have a strong track record of consistency and has struggled with minor injuries. Here are his numbers so far:

| Rushing | Receiving |+----------+-----+--------------------------+-------------------------+| Year TM | G | Att Yards Y/A TD | Rec Yards Y/R TD |+----------+-----+--------------------------+-------------------------+| 2004 det | 14 | 1 1 1.0 0 | 54 817 15.1 8 || 2005 det | 13 | 0 0 0.0 0 | 45 687 15.3 8 || 2006 det | 12 | 1 2 2.0 0 | 63 1043 16.6 4 |+----------+-----+--------------------------+-------------------------+| TOTAL | 39 | 2 3 1.5 0 | 162 2547 15.7 20 |+----------+-----+--------------------------+-------------------------+
I'm not saying he isn't a great talent. He is. But the Lions offensive line and Qb continue to be an issue on top of the coaching, front office and ownership uncertainty. He just seems like a lot of risk to take on compared to some other very talented Wrs one could consider investing in.

just to expound on thisWe KNOW that Leinhart will be the QB for the Cards and there O-line is weakWe don't know if Kitna or a rookie will be the QB for the Lions and there O-line is weakseems like a push at poor O-line play, but consistency at QB is very important to a WR

I too voted Roy Williams. STUD, bad offense or not, he is a STUD.

I think someone else pointed out Andre Johnson, and he is another STUD on a bad offense, but it doesn't matter because both are #1 targets on their team were as Boldin is a #2 on his team, especially in the red zone.

Fitz is 3rd, he's not even the best WR on his own team. Should give you an idea about how I feel about Quan. Also Wayne at #5 is a joke IMO, I would rank players like Javon Walker, Quan Boldin, Houshmandzadeh, Roy Williams and Donald Driver ahead of that product of the Indy O

Just my .02

You are probably right Wayne at 5 is a joke... he should probably be in the top 3....You have to take into account the system, and who is throwing the ball to these guys, that is a huge factor.. i am not an indy or wayne backer, but have seen them play a couple of times this year, he is a stud in a great system, and as we have seen this year marvins #s decline Reggie goes+++++

D-Jax is a WR that needs to be around the ranking. He may not be the sex pick but he is solid WR in a very good off.

Still looking for some more votes before drawing a conclushion on this. For those supporting other Wrs at this slot just follow the link to see how the poll got to this point.

It's close, but I have to vote Boldin. With Fitz on the other side, opposing defenses can't roll coverage to one side or the other. The only concern is whether the Cards will shore up there o-line in the offseason to give Leinart the time he needs.
