**Eagles (9-2) at Ravens (8-4)** (-3, 51) 4:25 (1 Viewer)

Could be the game of the week in real football
And The Fantasy Gold game of the week in fantasy football
Could come down to which defense slows down the opponents running game
If either team can
Should be a fun one with a lot of running and gunning
LaMar has feasted on The NFC in his career
I'll say he keeps it going at home this week...

Ravens- 37
Eagles- 33

Both teams run well and both teams stop the run well. Both teams have strong passing games and only one team stops the pass. This eagles defense is legit, like Jim Johnson era legit. I think both teams trade punches and the first team to turn it over falls behind. As good as this defense and specifically this secondary is, they’re lacking in interceptions. I think they are due. I’ll say Quinyon or Cooper grab a pick six late and Saquon ices the ravens out.

This is a huge game for both teams and each of them are legitimate Super Bowl contenders. If the eagles can pull the win out I think they can run the tables for the rest of the season and snag the #1 seed.

Close game but the Eagles pull it out in the end. 34-24

ETA that’s not to say I’d be surprised if the Ravens take care of business. This is fixing to be an awesome game. I can’t wait.

The Ravens have a puncher's chance against anyone, but this might be the worst on paper matchup of any team for them. I think Philly focuses a ton on Henry and trusts their secondary to win 1-1s, and I think for the most part they will. One potential exception is Mark Andrews, just due to his size advantage, and he should see more consistent snaps with Kolar now on IR. I also think this is a game Lamar spends running a lot, as the Eagles focus on Henry could lead to more situations for Lamar to keep it.

For the Eagles. this is where its scary for Baltimore, as they can't cover Philly's pass catchers 1-1 (especially AJ Brown), and their pass rush is likely no match for Philly's OL. They also struggle against mobile QBs. Oh, and there's also this Saquon guy, who could be especially dangerous in the passing game, if the Ravens feel they need to blitz to get pressure.

I think this is a game where the Eagles get up big early, and the Ravens get a late score or 2 to make it look close. I'm not sure the Eagles aren't the best team in the NFL right now.

Eagles-31
Ravens-24

Baltimore's defense is going to have to play its best game of the year (admittedly a low bar to clear) and win the turnover battle to hang with Philly. The Ravens usually play well in these types of high-profile games (unless it's the Steelers), but the Eagles are on a roll.

I dunno.....

I'll go Philly 29, Ravens 25

Curious to see if Fangio runs a bunch of 5 man fronts to take away the run game and try and keep Jackson in the pocket.
I think for sure. A lot more base and less nickel. BAL runs a ton of 21 and 22 personnel.

I could see a lot more zone than man, too. Even more than usual.

My thoughts coming in were if Devonta is out it's a coin flip. If he's in I like Philly in a relatively close game. The Eagles offense is MUCH more dynamic when all three of Aj/Devonta/Goedert are playing. Barkley catches a couple here and there but they don't have a third WR who has done ANYTHING this year so they really do need aall of them to play anything close to their best. Latest news suggests Devonta is probably not going though.

I'm not seeing a high scoring game. Eagles defense is legit and will limit Baltimore a lot more then they are used to. That said, BOTH teams are coming off long West coast trips and either could come out flat. I wouldn't touch this game with a bet of any kind because literally no result would shock me. Either or both could come out flat and get steamrolled.

Gun to head, I'll take Philly defense to limit Baltimore enough to take it 21-17

Just realized this is the only game going in the second window on CBS. It'll air nationally in every market. Really hope it lives up to the potential.

All I can say is this is the kind of game Harbaugh and Lamar always win. As was last week on MNF vs his brother (and unlike the playoffs where they find a way to lose)

Lamar is 23-1 vs the NFC for a reason and the Ravens have had a good fix on Fangio defenses in recent years

I like the Eagles but I also think they are going to find that what makes you a physical team in the NFC is par for the course in the AFC North

Also the Ravens seem to have fixed their secondary to play at a league average standard, which is all this team needs out of that unit to be a legit Super Bowl contender

I’ll say Ravens 33-Eagles 25 with a late score for Philly that makes it seem closer than it was

What's up, my friend? Hope you and yours are well.

This won't shock you, but I'm a little less optimistic than you are. Van Noy's out and Pierce (who they REALLY need today) has a Q next to his name.

Hey GB, we’re doing well hope you are too. You know it makes me nervous not to be pessimistic but believe me I will be plenty pessimistic for the Pittsburgh rematch and the playoffs

This is the kind of “seems like high stakes but really doesn’t mean all that much” game where Harbaugh and Lamar excel, it’s the really important games where they bumble

This one is pretty important for Philly, who is still very much in play for a #1 seed

The birds are without Slim Reaper today so whatever the limitations are with that secondary, we don’t have the best weapons to exploit it. Not to say we can’t as AJ can feast on anyone, but missing Smith definitely hurts.

It’s important but an out of conference game doesn’t matter as much, it’s more about the “possible Super Bowl preview” hype than a truly big game like Pittsburgh-Baltimore in a couple weeks will be

Thus Eagles defense can be dominant at times. If there's no hangover from a West coast trip Baltimore could have a tough day
