Great pickup for the Jet's considering it costs them little to nothing. Now we just have to hope that he can still play and it was only a lack of heart that he got passed up on the depth chart last season.

Right now, Lowery is CB#3 and the nickel back. The Jets do play against a lot of 3 WR sets, so Lowery will get playing time, but he isn't to be considered a full time CB. I would not be surprised to see the Jets follow up this move with yet another CB in the draft. Sheppard has already had his contract extended and been named the #2 CB.
