Rams win this trade easily. Foles stats are impressive. Look at Bradford's yards per attempt (it's 6.3 for his career) and this will tell you all you need to know about him.
That he was on a team with no O-line to get him time, WRs who were totally incapable of getting separation and Brian Schottenheimer as a coordinator?
Did you see the eagles pass blocking last season? and bradford will be throwing to matthews who can only play the slot and all of his highlights are against LBs and the other a guy huff that couldnt sniff the field on offense and has 8 career catches. oh and riley cooper who lets face it will be completely invisible when asked to play as the #1 against a cb with a safety over the top. If they still had shady, maclin, and desean then yeah bradford would be stepping into a decent situation, but the WR core is horrible and kelly hasnt figured out TEs are allowed to catch passes in the NFL.
I'm not saying Bradford is going into a better situation. He's not. The Rams were building a viable offense in the time he was standing on the sidelines. Now Nick Foles gets to reap the benefits while Chip Kelly hopes the league doesn't catch up to a college offense in its second year in the league like what happened with RG3 and that read-option craze.
The WR corps didn't change.
The hope and expectation is that Quick returns and continues where he left off. Britt and Cook are as unpredictable as possibly could be and Austin is a bust. Stedman was getting lots late in the year, but early on he was seeming like a fill-in that wouldn't get a chance to start. What happens with him now? Still have Givens right?
It's not the best WR corps. The talent is there in oh so many of them, but their use has been highly questionable.
I swear they have a play called "get Austin decked" in their playbook.
Well stopping short of a large ramble, I have 100,000 issues with the passing game in STL.
