Eagles WRs (1 Viewer)

The fact that the Eagles have WR needs is well documented, my question is why they aren't more active in seeking a trade for some of the disgruntled WRs around the NFL.

Guys like Jerry Porter and Ashley Lelie are on the block and not doing their teams any good, so why haven't the Eagles pursued them (maybe they have and it just isn't in the news). My only thought is that these guys just aren't that good. Lelie seems soft to me and Porter is a head case on par with TO.

Still with the dismal state of the Eagles WR corp you'd think they roll the dice.

Anyone have any thougths about this?

James Thrash, Torrence Small, Charles Johnson, Freddie Mitchell. All WRs who have helped the Eagles get to the NFC Championship game.

I personally believe that Reggie Brown is better than all of them, and I think the Eagles do as well. Plus, while Jabbar Gaffney is not gonna light the world on fire, he's still an NFL-caliber receiver. LJ Smith is a more dangerous weapon than Chad Lewis. And Westbrook out of the backfield may be the most dangerous recieving RB. This recieveing corp is probably better than the 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 versions and the Eagles went 46-18 in the regular season and 5-4 in the playoffs.

Reggie Brown is flying under most radars....he's a top 20 Wide Out who's a real bargain in auction leagues and as a 7-9 rounder in redrafts.

For what it's worth, a "draft and follow" in deep dynasty leagues: check out :hey: the recent trade for UDFA Hank Baskett. If Hank makes the team, or lands on the Dev Squad, he's worth keeping track of. This guy's gotta shot at pulling a Rod Smith....of course, they all do, but he's a good trade for PHI.
