Early 2025 Dynasty Rookie Draft Rankings (Single QB) (1 Viewer)

Here is my very early 2025 Rookie Fantasy Draft Board for Round One (1 QB League, no TE Premium).

I (almost reluctantly) added my top 2 QB prospects at the end of Round 1, but I am not especially excited about this QB class.

Travis Hunter gets an asterisk for the time being. This is based on him being drafted to play WR.

Who would you move up or down?

I have seen Hunter all over the first round but not as high as second. He would have to get snaps at both positions to go this high.
I would be extremely happy to get Henderson at ninth.
Skattebo is really flying up the board from his playoff exposure. Not sure I would have him that high .
NO Dylan Sampson ?

Thanks for the feedback @Gatorade

My ranking of Hunter is contingent upon him being drafted to play WR. As a WR, I believe he is the WR1 in this class for fantasy. Early draft rankings will understandably have great variance for Hunter.

TreVeyon Henderson is one of my favorite players in this class, so, like you, I would be ecstatic to get him at 1.09. He is likely to move up during the pre-draft process. However, I cannot ignore the injury history.

Scattebo is such an interesting prospect. He has a 3-down skill set. He was off my radar before this season, but I love his style of play. Much will depend on his testing and, most importantly, his draft destination. Then again, that caveat applies to pretty much every prospect.

Dylan Sampson is an intriguing prospect. There is a lot to like about his tape. I suspect, however, that he is destined for a utility back role in the NFL. I wanted to compare him to Bucky Irving, but I don’t see the same physicality. If an NFL team drafts Sampson on Day 2, that bodes well for his potential role, and he will likely be a Round 2 fantasy pick. If he drops to Day 3, however, he probably falls to Round 3 of fantasy drafts.

I personally don't think Hunter will be a full-time WR. I think he will barely be a part-time WR, if at all. For that reason I wouldn't rank him in a fantasy mock.
If a team drafts Hunter to play defense or play both ways, he is off my board, as well. I don’t have a good sense at this time of what role NFL teams are envisioning for Hunter.

Strictly as a WR prospect, I rank him atop this fantasy WR class. I will let the rest sort itself out. We should know his expected role before fantasy drafts.

did you accidentally omit higgins, or are you an I on completely different universes with him?

I might have him at wr3 and maybe even 2 depending on landing spot and if hunter plays defense

Thanks @Soulfly3

I have moved Higgins all over my board, although never as high as you have him. In fairness, he should probably be higher on my board. (I currently have him at the beginning of Round 3.). I have been burned by Iowa State receivers before (Hakeem Butler, Xavier Hutchinson), and perhaps that affected my ranking. Higgins does not have the physical tools of a Drake London, but he is not exactly a plodder, either. If he tests well, Higgins could push his way as high as the WR 5-6 range on my board. Higgins is probably more of a complementary NFL receiver than a WR1, and that is factored into his ranking. In truth, however, I might rather take a chance on Higgins than a guy like Bond, who has never lived up to his potential, so perhaps Higgins should slot in as my WR8. Higgins is currently projected as a Round 3 NFL pick. If that holds, he is probably not getting out of Round 2 in most single-QB fantasy drafts.

You certainly could be right about Martinez. I don’t see it.

Big agree with Gatorade on your third round. I think it looks perfect for that value based scattershot approach where I'll likely aim to go into the draft with 3-4 picks there, take all my guys, and if even one hit's it would be a net positive. Only name I have in that range that I didn't see in yours was Jack Bech - TCU. Any thoughts on him specifically? He does seem to be more loved in the fantasy circles I follow than in the "real world" NFL draft projections.

Thanks @pinkstapler

Jack Bech is being projected as a Round 5 NFL pick, which is a bit disheartening. I believe Bech is going to be a valuable receiver for the team that drafts him. I absolutely love his game. I am not sure that will necessarily equate to great fantasy production, but half the battle is making the roster and getting onto the field, and I like Bech's odds of proving too valuable to keep on the sidelines. My early upside comp for Bech is Mack Hollins, and I think we could see him grow into that type of production.

So many RBs here. You are already at RB21 at pick 48. We did not have that many total in either of my three dynasty league drafts last year and they are all 16 team leagues. I have eight of the first 49 picks in one league and plan to load up on RBs. can't wait.

I agree; this is a very deep RB class. Testing will likely sort some of that out. (Others will likely rank more than 4 QBs and 4 TEs in a 4-round draft than I have.) My QB 5 is Quinn Ewers, and I have him currently sitting atop my Round 5 picks, but in a single-QB league, I doubt I will give any real consideration to drafting him. This TE class has some really good depth. [Gunnar Helm (Texas), Oronde Gadsden II (Syracuse), Elijah Arroyo (Miami), Brant Kuithe (Utah), and Luke Lachey (Iowa)]

Hearing some talk about over 30 RB's will have draftable grades.

This class reminds me of the 2017 class in so many ways, just think the RB's at the top are a little inferior to what has to be the best RB class of all time in 2017. But both classes are super deep at RB and TE, super thin at WR and also not that elite at the top.

So on that note while many of us always preach it's best to draft BPA and not need, we also know it's not easy to always do. So for me I don't care if I got a team thin at WR or needing some youth in the pipeline, don't care how deep my teams may be at RB or TE, I'm going to load up on the RB and TE spots if they are BPA which I expect them to be majority of the time I'm OTC.

Spot on! This is the year to grab multiple RBs. Last season, I loaded up at QB and WR.

As much as I love the depth of this TE class, I also tend to shy away from loading up with rookie Tight Ends (non-TE premium). Developmental Tight End prospects often hang on as roster cloggers.

Some Random Thoughts and Observations

QB

This is a pretty weak QB class. Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders are the clear top tier of this QB class, and beyond those two, there is not much to see here. I doubt that either of these top QB prospects will participate in drills at the Combine, so we will be left to assess their on-campus workouts.

Jaxson Dart may be trending up slightly for some, but I think that has more to do with a lack of prospect depth and a reportedly poor showing at Senior Bowl practices by Jalen Milroe. That report on Milroe is nothing earth-shattering. Milroe is a dynamic athlete, but he has failed to progress as a passing threat. If you draft him, it is strictly for his enormous bonus potential as a runner, but his bust factor will be baked into the price. On a more positive note, Jalen Milroe has been mentioned recently for his academic achievements. Kyle McCord (Shrine Bowl) and Dillon Gabriel (Senior Bowl) have helped their stock this week, but in start-1-QB leagues, they are still off my draft board, except in the deepest of leagues.

RB

Load up at RB this season! This is a deep and talented class. It could pay off handsomely if you can pick up additional picks in Rounds Two and Three of your Dynasty Drafts. (Shout out to @Gatorade and @menobrown for highlighting this above)

Trevor Etienne: Etienne has never lived up to expectations; he has fought through injuries and growing pains. However, he has the physical tools to succeed at the NFL level, and that was on full display this week at Senior Bowl practice.

Ollie Gordon II: Gordon is coming off a disappointing season, but he is a physical freak. I have read mixed reports from Senior Bowl sessions. Most of the negative reports centered around his deficiencies in pass protection. I am confident those can be corrected, but it will hinder his draft stock.

Devin Neal: After a reportedly slow start in Mobile, Neal rebounded with a couple of nice days of practice. He is on my long list of RBs to target in the mid-rounds. Neal has 3-down back qualities.

RJ Harvey: Harvey has impressed with his quickness and ability in the passing game.

Damien Martinez: Martinez’s combination of patience, vision, balance, and versatility, along with his excellent size for the position, make him an ideal target after the initial block of backs has been selected. Damien Martinez has every-down potential, and he impressed scouts this week with his speed and his pass protection skills. If Martinez carries this momentum into the Combine and tests well, he is going to cement himself as a Day 2 selection. (Shout out to @BigTex for highlighting Martinez above)

Cam Skattebo: Skattebo continues to ride a surge following his outstanding Peach Bowl performance. That performance against Texas adds legitimacy to what we have already seen from Skattebo all season. He is a tackle-breaking machine with a diverse game. However, I fear he is also a candidate to descend the rankings once we get some evaluations of his athleticism.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt: Croskey-Merritt had fallen off my radar. This is a perfect example of why watching the Shrine Bowl and Senior Bowl games is important. He ran with exceptional burst in the Shrine Bowl, displaying vision and patience. This is a name to remember.

WR

Tez Johnson
: Every season, we get reports from the Senior and Shrine Bowls that “WRX is uncoverable.” Tez Johnson is that guy this cycle. Before you christen him as the next Ladd McConkey, remember that he weighs in under 160. Still, this is a big positive for Johnson’s draft stock. Johnson’s upside is Tank Dell, and that is pretty exciting. Hopefully, he is more Tank Dell than Calvin Austin.

Jack Bech: There has been a steady beat of positive news on Bech from Mobile this week. Jack Bech is one of the big winners in this early cycle and is moving up draft boards. (Shout out to @pinkstapler for highlighting Bech)

Jayden Higgins and Jalen Noel: It did not take long for my critique of Iowa State receivers to age poorly. D’oh! Higgins showed surprising athleticism. His blend of size, speed, and skills is very intriguing. He is a candidate to make a move up draft boards. Noel had a fantastic week in Mobile. Do not sleep on him. (Shout out to @Soulfly3 for highlighting Higgins above)

Efton Chism III: Chism was another Shrine Bowl standout. He hails from Eastern Washington, the same school that produced Cooper Kupp. Like Kupp, Chism has reliable hands and excellent body control. His workmanlike attitude will endear him to whatever NFL franchise drafts him.

TE

This is a fantastic Tight End class. There is no Brock Bower, but it is loaded with talented depth. Elijah Arroyo and Mason Taylor capitalized on their opportunities this week. Look for them to ascend draft boards.

No way I’m taking Trevor over Damien, I believe there’s a strong chance that Damien moves up a bit into the 2nd round of rookie drafts.

Tex
You certainly could be right about Martinez. I don’t see it.
I am not especially sold on either (Etienne or Martinez), TBH. I think Martinez could carve out a power back role in the right offense, but I think it is unlikely he earns a big enough role to have any sustained fantasy value. Trevor could similarly carve out a role (as a receiving option). Neither seems destined for a lead-back role.

Martinez was the most efficient runner for the Hurricanes. He transfered from Oregon State Only to post a 94.3 rushing grade in 2024, third to only Ashton Jeanty and Cam Skattebo among FBS running backs. He averaged 4.5 yards after contact per attempt which was second among Power Four tailbacks. This is nothing new for Martinez either, who has a staggering 96.8 career rushing grade. He moves much better than his 232-pound size would indicate and is getting underrated in what’s a loaded running back class.

He might be this year’s Bucky who I also happened grabbed in the third and waited until the world caught up lol. Not going to get too ahead of myself but looks like that’s where it’s going.

Second thought, I have a Miami Hurricane fan in my league and he’ll be the one that I’ll need to get ahead of in the draft no doubt.

Dynasty Rookie Rankings Post-Combine (Single QB, full PPR, no TE Premium)

ROUND ONE

1.01 | RB1 | Ashton Jeanty | Boise St. | 5-8 1/2 | 211 | -- | Rd. 1
2024: 2,601 yds | 7.0 avg | 29 TDs || 23 rec | 138 yds | 6.0 avg | 1 TDs
2023: 1,347 yds | 6.1 avg | 14 TDs || 43 rec | 569 yds | 13.2 avg | 5 TDs
Jeanty elected not to work out at the Combine, but that was expected. He had nothing to gain.

1.02 | RB2 | Omarion Hampton | UNC | 5-11 3/4 | 221 | 4.48 | Rd 2 ▲
2024: 1,660 yds | 5.9 avg | 15 TDs || 38 rec | 373 yds | 9.8 avg | 2 TDs
2023: 1,504 yds | 5.9 avg | 15 TDs || 29 rec | 222 yds | 7.7 avg | 1 TDs
Hampton had a great showing at the Combine. He is solidly the RB2 in the class, and he leaps Tet McMillan on my board.

1.03 | WR1 | Tetairoa McMillan | Arizona | 6-4 1/8 | 219 | -- | Rd. 1
2024: 84 rec | 1,319 yds | 15.7 avg | 8 TDs
2023: 90 rec | 1,402 yds | 15.6 avg | 10 TDs
McMillan had nothing to gain by working out at the Combine, so he understandably stood on the sidelines.

1.04 | RB3 | Quinshon Judkins | Ohio State | 5-11 5/8 | 221 | 4.48 | Rd. 2 ▲
2024: 1,060 yds | 5.5 avg | 14 TDs || 22 rec | 161 yds | 7.3 avg | 2 TDs
2023: 1,158 yds | 4.3 avg | 15 TDs || 22 rec | 149 yds | 6.8 avg | 2 TDs
2022: 1,567 yds | 5.7 avg | 16 TDs || 15 rec | 132 yds | 8.8 avg | 1 TDs
Judkins was impressive at the Combine. The only thing holding him back from elite status is his limitations in the passing game.

1.05 | RB4 | TreVeyon Henderson | Ohio State | 5-10 1/8 | 202 | 4.43 | Rd. 2 ▲
2024: 1,016 yds | 7.1 avg | 10 TDs || 27 rec | 284 yds | 10.5 avg | 1 TDs
2023: 926 yds | 5.9 avg | 11 TDs || 19 rec | 229 yds | 12.1 avg | 0 TDs
2022: 571 yds | 5.3 avg | 6 TDs || 4 rec | 28 yds | 7.0 avg | 1 TDs
2021: 1,248 yds | 6.8 avg | 15 TDs || 27 rec | 312 yds | 11.6 avg | 4 TDs
Henderson ran a fast forty at the Combine, but he did not participate in drills. He weighed in a bit lighter than I had hoped at 202, but that is not a fatal flaw. His ability in the receiving game could push him higher than this. He has as much potential as any player in this Draft class.

1.06 | RB5 | Kaleb Johnson | Iowa | 6-1 | 224 | 4.57 | Rd. 2
2024: 1,537 yds | 6.4 avg | 21 TDs || 22 rec | 188 yds | 8.5 avg | 2 TDs
Johnson was not expected to post a fast forty at his size. He is built like a truck. He falls to the tail of this loaded RB Tier, but Kaleb Johnson remains a solid first round fantasy pick.

1.07 | WR2 | Luther Burden III | Missouri | 6-0 | 206 | 4.41 | Rd. 1
2024: 61 rec | 676 yds | 11.1 avg | 6 TDs
2023: 86 rec | 1,212 yds | 14.1 avg | 9 TDs
Burden ran well, but his 8 1/2 inch hands is a little concerning.

1.08 | WR3 | Emeka Egbuka | Ohio State | 6-0 7/8 | 202 | -- | Rd. 1
2024: 81 rec | 1,011 yds | 12.5 avg | 10 TDs
2023: 41 rec | 515 yds | 12.6 avg | 4 TDs
2022: 74 rec | 1,151 yds | 15.6 avg | 10 TDs
Egbuka opted out of physical testing at the Combine. We will have to wait until his Pro Day for those numbers.

1.09 | WR4 | Matthew Golden | Texas | 5-11 | 191 | 4.29 | Rd. 1 ▲
2024: 58 rec | 987 yds | 17.0 avg | 9 TDs
Golden followed up an impressive post season with a stellar performance at the Combine, posting a 4.29 forty. He has solidified his Round 1 status.

1.10 | TE1 | Tyler Warren | Penn State | 6-5 1/2 | 256 | -- | Rd. 1
2024: 104 rec | 1,233 yds | 11.9 avg | 8 TDs
2023: 34 rec | 422 yds | 12.4 avg | 7 TDs
I am generally hesitant to spend a first round dynasty pick on a TE. Not surprisingly, Warren opted out of physical testing at the Combine. Warren's hand size and wingspan give me some reason to tap the brakes.

1.11 | TE2 | Colston Loveland | Michigan | 6-5 3/4 | 248 | -- | Rd. 1 ▲
2024: 56 rec | 582 yds | 10.4 avg | 5 TDs
2023: 45 rec | 649 yds | 14.4 avg | 4 TDs
Loveland is recovering from shoulder surgery and did not participate in testing at the Combine. He will be jockeying Warren for the top TE spot.

1.12 | WR5* | Travis Hunter | Colorado | 6-0 3/8 | 188 | -- | Rd. 1
2024: 96 rec | 1,258 yds | 13.1 avg | 15 TDs
2023: 57 rec | 721 yds | 12.6 avg | 5 TDs
What to do with Travis Hunter? Hunter is potentially the WR1 in the class, but unless he is drafted to focus primarily on offense, he may be a wasted pick. This is merely a placeholder for now.

ROUND TWO

2.01 | WR6 | Jayden Higgins | Iowa State | 6-4 1/8 | 214 | 4.47 | Rd. 3 ▲
2024: 87 rec | 1,183 yds | 13.6 avg | 9 TDs
2023: 53 rec | 983 yds | 18.5 avg | 6 TDs
It feels like there is a significant drop-off once you get out of Round One. Higgins leapfrogs Tre Harris on my board. He measured in bigger and tested better. Higgins needs to improve his route running, but he has the tools to make an impact at the NFL level.

2.02 | RB6 | Cameron Skattebo | Arizona State | 5-9 1/2 | 219 | -- | Rd 3
2024: 1,711 yds | 5.8 avg | 21 TDs || 45 rec | 605 yds | 13.4 avg | 3 TDs
2023: 783 yds | 4.8 avg | 9 TDs || 24 rec | 286 yds | 11.9 avg | 1 TDs
2022: 1,372 yds | 7.0 avg | 7 TDs || 31 rec | 371 yds | 12.0 avg | 3 TDs
Skattebo measured in a bit shorter than I had him, but that is a good thing. We will have to wait until his Pro Day workout to get a forty for him, but he showed explosiveness on his jumps. This is a tremendously talented RB class, and it would not surprise me to see him slip a bit, but man is he fun to watch!

2.03 | WR7 | Tre Harris | Ole Miss | 6-2 3/8 | 205 | 4.54 | Rd 2
2024: 60 rec | 1,030 yds | 17.2 avg | 7 TDs
2023: 54 rec | 985 yds | 18.2 avg | 8 TDs
Harris ran about what I expected. Speed is not his game. He is a bit of a strider who is destined as an X receiver.

2.04 | WR8 | Elic Ayomanor | Stanford | 6-1 3/4 | 206 | 4.44 | Rd 2
2024: 63 rec | 831 yds | 13.2 avg | 6 TDs
2023: 62 rec | 1,013 yds | 16.3 avg | 6 TDs
Ayomanor helped his rising stock with a solid Combine performance.

2.05 | QB1 | Cam Ward | Miami | 6-2 | 223 | -- | Rd. 1
2024: 4,313 yds | 39 TDs | 7 Int
2023: 3,735 yds | 25 TDs | 7 Int
This QB class is uninspiring. I almost reluctantly put a QB here. Cam Ward reportedly interviewed well, but small hands might explain his history of fumbling.

2.06 | WR9 | Jalen Royals | Utah State | 6-0 | 205 | 4.42 | Rd. 3 ▲
2024: 55 rec | 834 yds | 15.2 avg | 6 TDs (injury-shortened season)
2023: 71 rec | 1,080 yds | 15.2 avg | 15 TDs
I have Royals a bit higher than the consensus, but his star is on the rise.

2.07 | RB7 | Devin Neal | Kansas | 5-11 1/8| 213 | 4.58 | Rd. 4 ▼
2024: 1,266 yds | 5.8 avg | 16 TDs || 24 rec | 254 yds | 10.6 avg | 1 TDs
2023: 1,280 yds | 6.3 avg | 16 TDs || 25 rec | 217 yds | 8.7 avg | 1 TDs
2022: 1,090 yds | 6.1 avg | 9 TDs || 21 rec | 183 yds | 8.7 avg | 1 TDs
I expected a better forty time from Neal, but speed was never going to be his calling card. Neal looked solid in drills, but a lack of explosiveness will hurt him in a loaded class. Still, it is not a fatal flaw. Neal is a well-rounded back with excellent vision.

2.08 | RB8 | Dylan Sampson | Tennessee | 5-8 1/8 | 200 | -- | Rd. 3
2024: 1,491 yds | 5.8 avg | 22 TDs || 20 rec | 143 yds | 7.2 avg | 0 TDs
2023: 604 yds | 5.7 avg | 7 TDs || 17 rec | 175 yds | 10.3 avg | 1 TDs
In a loaded RB class that stood out as the fastest class in the history of the Combine, Sampson's decision not to run could push him down rankings. I will wait to ding him until we get his Pro Day testing numbers.

2.09 | QB2 | Shedeur Sanders | Colorado | 6-1 1/2 | 212 | -- | Rd. 1 ▼
2024: 4,134 yds |37 TDs | 10 Int
2023: 3,230 yds | 27 TDs | 3 Int
Have I mentioned I am not in love with this QB class?

2.10 | WR10 | Jaylin Noel | Iowa State | 5-10 1/4 | 194 | 4.39 | Rd. 3 ▲
2024: 80 rec | 1,194 yds | 14.9 avg | 8 TDs
2023: 66 rec | 820 yds | 12.4 avg | 7 TDs
There has been a steady beat of positive reports about Noel throughout the pre-draft process.

2.11 | TE3 | Mason Taylor | LSU | 6-5 1/8 | 251 | -- | Rd. 3 ▲
2024: 55 rec | 546 yds | 9.9 avg | 2 TDs
2023: 36 rec | 348 yds | 9.7 avg | 1 TDs
Taylor had an excellent Combine. There is a lot to really love about Taylor's game, although he never put up prolific numbers.

2.12 | WR11 | Isaiah Bond | Texas | 5-10 5/8 | 180 | 4.39 | Rd. 2
2024: 34 rec | 540 yds | 15.9 avg | 5 TDs
2023: 48 rec | 668 yds | 13.9 avg | 4 TDs
Bond has excellent speed, but he has never lived up to expectations. I would have trouble pulling the trigger on drafting him even this late.

ROUND THREE

3.01 | TE4 | Elijah Arroyo | Miami | 6-5 1/8 | 250 | -- | Rd. 2 ▲
2024: 35 rec | 590 yds | 16.9 avg | 7 TDs
Arroyo is arguably the most athletic TE in this class, but injury concerns cannot be ignored. If he lands with the right team, he will be moving up considerably.

3.02 | RB9 | R.J. Harvey, Jr. | UCF | 5-8 | 205 | 4.40 | Rd. 5 ▲
2024: 1,577 yds | 6.8 avg | 22 TDs || 20 rec | 267 yds | 13.4 avg | 3 TDs
2023: 1,416 yds | 6.3 avg | 16 TDs || 19 rec | 238 yds | 12.5 avg | 2 TDs
Harvey is compact and looks bigger than 205, especially in his thick thighs. I thought he was one of the winners at the Combine.

3.03 | WR12 | Tory Horton | Colorado State | 6-2 1/2 | 196 | 4.41 | Rd. 3 ▲
2024: * Injury-Shortened Season
2023: 96 rec | 1,136 yds | 11.8 avg | 8 TDs
2022: 71 rec | 1,131 yds | 15.9 avg | 8 TDs
Horton looked exceptional for a guy just coming off an injury. Don't sleep on him.

3.04 | WR13 | Jack Bech | TCU | 6-1 1/4 | 214 | -- | Rd. 3 ▲
2024: 62 rec | 1,034 yds | 16.7 avg | 9 TDs
Bech has had a memorable pre-draft season, but I would have liked to have seen him run. Lack of speed, burst and explosiveness are perhaps the biggest concerns with his game, and he did nothing to address that.

3.05 | RB10 | DJ Giddens | Kansas State | 6-0 1/4 | 212 lbs | 4.43 | Rd. 4 ▲
2024: 1,343 yds | 6.6 avg | 7 TDs || 21 rec | 258 yds | 12.3 avg | 1 TDs
2023: 1,226 yds | 5.5 avg | 10 TDs || 29 rec | 323 yds | 11.1 avg | 3 TDs
Giddens had an impressive Combine. He is a bit on the slender side and runs a bit too upright, but his acceleration and lateral movement are really impressive.

3.06 | RB11 | Bhayshul Tuten | Virginia Tech| 5-9 1/4 | 200 | 4.32 | Rd. 6 ▲
2024: 1,159 yds | 6.3 avg | 15 TDs || 23 rec | 81 yds | 3.5 avg | 2 TDs
2023: 863 yds | 5.0 avg | 10 TDs || 27 rec | 239 yds | 8.9 avg | 2 TDs
2022: 1,363 yds | 6.6 avg | 13 TDs || 31 rec | 342 yds | 11.0 avg | 4 TDs
Tuten checked in smaller than expected, but he impressed with a 4.32 forty. He was already a prospect on the rise, and this will help.

3.07 | WR14 | Tai Felton | Maryland | 6-1 1/8 | 183 | 4.37 | Rd. 4 ▲
2024: 96 rec | 1,124 yds | 11.7 avg | 9 TDs
2023: 48 rec | 723 yds | 15.1 avg | 6 TDs
Felton had a fantastic Combine performance. His stock is on the rise.

3.08 | WR15 | Xavier Restrepo | Miami | 5-9 7/8 | 209 | -- | Rd. 3
2024: 69 rec | 1,127 yds | 16.3 avg | 11 TDs
2023: 85 rec | 1,092 yds | 12.8 avg | 6 TDs
Restrepo opted out of running. He will need to prove himself at his Pro Day workout.

3.09 | TE5 | Harold Fannin, Jr. | Bowling Green | 6-3 1/4 | 241 | 4.72 | Rd. 3
2024: 117 rec | 1,555 yds | 13.3 avg | 10 TDs
2023: 44 rec | 623 yds | 14.2 avg | 6 TDs
Fannin was shorter and slower than expected. Not a good combination.

3.10 | RB12 | Ollie Gordon II | Oklahoma State | 6-1 3/8 | 226 lbs | 4.61 | Rd. 4 ▼
2024: 880 yds | 4.6 avg | 13 TDs || 29 rec | 179 yds | 6.2 avg | 1 TDs
2023: 1,732 yds | 6.1 avg | 21 TDs || 39 rec | 330 yds | 8.5 avg | 1 TDs
Ollie Gordon continues to tumble down draft boards. He is huge and athletic, but nothing about his performance at the Combine stood out. His forty time was slower than expected, and while he was solid in drills, he was not exceptional. His stellar 2023 season is fading into distant memory.

3.11 | RB13 | Tahj Brooks | Texas Tech | 5-9 1/4 | 214 | 4.52 | Rd. 6 ▲
2024: 1,505 yds | 5.3 avg | 17 TDs || 28 rec | 199 yds | 7.1 avg | 1 TDs
2023: 1,541 yds | 5.3 avg | 10 TDs || 29 rec | 69 yds | 2.4 avg | 0 TDs
Although he ran only a 4.52 forty, I thought Brooks had a solid day overall at the Combine.

3.12 | RB14 | Damien Martinez | Miami (FL) | 5-11 5/8 | 217 | 4.51 | Rd. 5
2024: 1,002 yds | 6.3 avg | 10 TDs || 17 rec | 204 yds | 12.0 avg | 0 TDs
2023: 1,185 yds | 6.1 avg | 9 TDs || 11 rec | 126 yds | 11.5 avg | 0 TDs
Martinez was another Combine winner. He checked in quite a bit lighter than expected, but he put up some impressive numbers for a bigger back.

ROUND FOUR

4.01 | RB15 | Trevor Etienne | Georgia | 5-8 3/4 | 198 | 4.42 | Rd. 5
2024: 609 yds | 5.0 avg | 9 TDs || 32 rec | 194 yds | 6.1 avg | 0 TDs
2023: 753 yds | 5.7 avg | 8 TDs || 21 rec | 172 yds | 8.2 avg | 1 TDs
Etienne weighed in shy of 200, which was disappointing, but he ran well.

4.02 | WR16 | Savion Williams | TCU | 6-3 7/8 | 222 | 4.48 | Rd. 3
2024: 60 rec | 611 yds | 10.2 avg | 6 TDs
2023: 41 rec | 573 yds | 14.0 avg | 4 TDs
The versatile Williams was asked to do RB drills at the Combine. Potential gadget player in the NFL?

4.03 | RB16 | Brashard Smith | SMU | 5-9 7/8 | 194 | 4.39 | Rd. 6
2024: 1,332 yds | 5.7 avg | 14 TDs || 39 rec | 327 yds | 8.4 avg | 4 TDs
The former wideout performed well, but he is undersized at 194.

4.04 | RB17 | Raheim Sanders | South Carolina | 6-0 | 217 | 4.46 | Rd. 5
2024: 881 yds | 4.8 avg | 11 TDs || 27 rec | 316 yds | 11.7 avg | 2 TDs
2023: * Injury-Shortened Season
2022: 1,443 yds | 6.5 avg | 10 TDs || 28 rec | 271 yds | 9.7 avg | 2 TDs
Tested well. There is still some hope he can re-capture his freshman season magic.

4.05 | QB3 | Jaxson Dart | Ole Miss | 6-2 2/8 | 223 | -- | Rd. 2
2024: 4,279 yds | 29 TDs | 6 Int || 495 yds rushing | 4.0 avg | 3 TDs
2023: 3,364 yds | 23 TDs | 5 Int || 391 yds rushing | 3.3 avg | 8 TDs
If you are desperate for a QB, perhaps Dart can surprise. I thought he looked just okay. He is probably not going to be on my draft board.

4.06 | WR17 | Dont’e Thornton Jr. | Tennessee | 6-4 5/8 | 205 | 4.30 | Rd. 7 ▲
2024: 26 rec | 661 yds | 25.4 avg | 6 TDs
Size-speed combo, but the production is just not there.

4.07 | WR18 | Tez Johnson | Oregon | 5-9 7/8 | 154 | 4.51 | Rd. 3
2024: 83 rec | 898 yds | 10.8 avg | 10 TDs
2023: 86 rec | 1,182 yds | 13.7 avg | 10 TDs
Johnson is a couple dozen Quarter Pounders shy of 160 and ran like he just ate them. Disappointing.

4.08 | WR19 | Jaylin Lane | Virginia Tech | 5-9 3/4 | 191 | 4.34 | UDFA
2024: 38 rec | 466 yds | 12.3 avg | 2 TDs
2023: 41 rec | 538 yds | 13.1 avg | 6 TDs
2022: 69 rec | 940 yds | 13.6 avg | 5 TDs
Combine winner. At this point, I am just swinging for the fences.

4.09 | RB18 | Woody Marks | USC | 5-10 1/8 | 207 lbs | 4.54 | Rd. 6
2024: 1,133 yds | 5.7 avg | 9 TDs || 47 rec | 321 yds | 6.8 avg | 0 TDs
Receiving ability, so perhaps he can find a role.

4.10 | RB19 | LeQuint Allen Jr. | Syracuse | 6-0 1/8 | 204 | -- | UDFA
2024: 1,021 yds | 4.5 avg | 16 TDs || 64 rec | 521 yds | 8.1 avg | 4 TDs
2023: 1,064 yds | 4.3 avg | 9 TDs || 38 rec | 210 yds | 5.5 avg | 1 TDs
Another potential PPR value.

4.11 | RB20 | Jarquez Hunter | Auburn | 5-9 3/8 | 204 | 4.44 | UDFA
2024: 1,201 yds | 6.4 avg | 8 TDs || 21 rec | 155 yds | 7.4 avg | 1 TDs
2023: 909 yds | 5.7 avg | 7 TDs || 18 rec | 118 yds | 6.6 avg | 0 TDs
I will take some late swings on this RB class.

4.12 | RB21 | Kyle Monangai | Rutgers | 5-8 1/4 | 211 | 4.60 | Rd. 6
2024: 1,279 yds | 5.0 avg | 13 TDs || 14 rec | 75 yds | 5.4 avg | 1 TDs
2023: 1,262 yds | 5.2 avg | 8 TDs || 8 rec | 78 yds | 9.8 avg | 0 TDs
I will take some late swings on this RB class.

I was surprised to see two names here that I had not seen anywhere else.
Jaylin Lane
Dont'e Thornton

I hope no one needs a QB in this draft with only three in your top 48.

Biggest risers :
Jayden Higgins
Tory Horton
Tai Felton
Tahj Brooks

Falling :
Tez Johnson
Jaylin Milrose
Jaxon Dart
Harold Fannin

Great work overall.
Thanks.

Thank you.

Lane and Thornton were Combine standouts. Longshots still, but worth a look later in the draft.

Milroe really has fallen. His running upside is intriguing, but he seems very unlikely to hit. Perhaps with the right draft destination, one of these other QBs will have some value, but especially in a single QB league, I am not excited about drafting any QB in this class, save perhaps Ward and Sanders.

So many RB options this year.
Any love for :
Jordan James
Kalel Mullings
I agree. This RB class is loaded.

James had a very disappointing Combine. Perhaps he can salvage some value with a decent Pro Day outing. I have him in my Round Five picks (still to come).

Mullings may hear his name called late in the NFL Draft, but I doubt he will offer much fantasy value. He did not run in Indy, but I would guess he is a 4.6 guy, and he offers little in the passing game as a receiver.

Jordan James

Maybe I'm fooled by his jump cuts (Matt Waldman of FBG loves to point out how jump cuts get the amateurs going), but he looked pretty good in his highlight package to me. He did run a 4.55, which isn't terrible, but isn't great.

I'll wait to see what the NFL thinks of him, but he sure looks good on the highlight reels.

It was a disappointing Combine for James. As a smaller back, I wanted to see more, and the slow time confirmed some of the lack of explosiveness we see on tape. However, the tape also shows a really good runner. We have seen other smaller backs like Kyren Williams and Bucky Irving excel despite disappointing run times, so it is not necessarily a fatal flaw to his game. James is a young prospect coming off a productive season. He will get a chance.

The amount of RBs still available through the 3rd and into the 4th round that I'm excited to take is mind blowing. I'm not as low on the WR class as some, but (pending draft capital) it's going to be very difficult for me not to take RBs in the 3rd/4th round of 2025 rookie drafts I think would be going as a late 1st/early 2nd over the past 6-7 years. The value is just screaming.

Dameon Pierce/Michael Carter/Keyshawn Vaughn/Darrel Henderson/Justice Hill/Kerryon Johnson/Royce Freeman are < or = RJ Harvey/DJ Giddens/Taj Brooks/Breshard Smith/Bhashul Tuten going a full two rounds later or more. I could be proven wrong here, and I get the "it's not the same top end talent" retorts; but I'll just plant my flag now: 2025 RBs will outdo 2017 RBs. Will revisit this take in 2032 lol.

I agree. I have pick #7 in a 16 team one QB league. If the top five RBs are gone, I still feel good because I have 3 (2nd), 2 (3rd) and 3 (4th) round picks and plan to load up on RBs later . Maybe sprinkle in a couple of WRs. I got Bowers last year, so I won't look at QB or TE until very late if at all.

Yeah, this is definitely my personal historical bias, but I think Bowers is the exception not the rule when it comes to drafting TEs in the first round of fantasy drafts. People will try to stand on the high hit rates in fantasy for TEs drafted in the NFL 1st round; but the majority of those are based on finishing as a TE1 in fantasy. I think we all know as this point that's almost meaningless. You need your guy to finish as TE1-4, because even though the TE8/9/10 is still technically a "TE1" the scoring above replacement is practically nil. I will def be passing on Warren where he's likely to go in all my leagues. I could be tempted by Loveland, especially with a prime landing spot like Denver, but... not over Egbuka/Golden/Skattebo/ a few other RBs landing spot dependent. Or if the value starts to fall off that bad, I'll try my best to trade back and acquire an extra pick or two. Those TEs are the main reason I don't love the end of the first round in this rookie draft class. Value is correct for them to be there, I just don't want to get burned for like a 3rd time lol (looking at you Eric Ebron and OJ Howard).

Another Size-Speed receiver who shined at the Combine.

5.06 | WR23 | Kaden Prather | Maryland | 6-3 1/2 | 204 | 4.46 | Rd. 4
2024: 56 rec | 624 yds | 11.1 avg | 4 TDs
2023: 42 rec | 666 yds | 15.9 avg | 5 TDs
Intriguing blend of size and speed

5.07 | RB23 | Jaydon Blue | Texas | 5-9 | 196 | 4.38 | Rd. 6
2024: 730 yds | 5.4 avg | 8 TDs || 42 rec | 368 yds | 8.8 avg | 6 TDs
2023: 398 yds | 6.1 avg | 3 TDs || 14 rec | 135 yds | 9.6 avg | 1 TDs
Receiving back with some juice

5.08 | QB4 | Jalen Milroe | Alabama | 6-1 7/8 | 217 | – | Rd. 2 ▼
2024: 2,844 yds | 16 TDs | 11 Int || 726 yds rushing | 4.3 avg | 20 TDs
2023: 2,834 yds | 23 TDs | 6 Int || 531 yds rushing | 3.3 avg | 12 TDs
Running ability gives Milroe some value if he can get onto the field.

5.09 | TE7 | Oronde Gadsden II | Syracuse | 6-4 5/8 | 243 | – | Rd. 5
2024: 73 rec | 934 yds | 12.8 avg | 7 TDs
Move Tight End with the athleticism of a big wideout.

5.10 | RB24 | Phil Mafah | Clemson | 6-0 5/8 | 234 | – | Rd. 6
2024: 1,115 yds | 5.2 avg | 8 TDs || 21 rec | 103 yds | 4.9 avg | 0 TDs
2023: 965 yds | 5.4 avg | 13 TDs || 21 rec | 108 yds | 5.1 avg | 0 TDs
Punishing back with good contact balance.

5.11 | RB25 | Kalel Mullings | Michigan | 6-1 1/2 | 226 | – | Rd. 6
2024: 948 yds | 5.1 avg | 12 TDs || 6 rec | 35 yds | 5.8 avg | 0 TDs
Big-bodied runner who has good footwork for a back his size. Mullings offers little as a receiver.

5.12 | WR24 | Ricky White III | UNLV | 6-1 1/8 | 184 | 4.61 | Rd. 5 ▼
2024: 79 rec | 1,041 yds | 13.2 avg | 11 TDs
2023: 88 rec | 1,483 yds | 16.9 avg | 8 TDs
Disappointing Combine, but has been productive.

Honorable Mention

QB5 |
Tyler Shough| Louisville | 6-4 | 225 | – | Rd. 3
2024: 3,195 yds | 23 TDs | 6 Int || 19 yds rushing | 0.5 avg | 1 TDs
Older Prospect, but he looks polished.

WR25 | Efton Chism III | Eastern Washington | 5-11 | 200 | | UDFA
2024: 120 rec | 1,311 yds | 10.9 avg | 13 TDs
2023: 83 rec | 927 yds | 11.2 avg | 8 TDs
Shrine Bowl standout. Chism is not the biggest or fastest receiver, although he is adequate in both. Where he wins is with his breaks out of his cuts.

RB26 | Jacory Croskey-Merritt | Arizona | 5-11 | 208 | – | Rd. 6
2023: 1,190 yds | 6.3 avg | 17 TDs || 7 rec | 72 yds | 10.3 avg | 1 TDs
Shrine Bowl MVP who missed most of 2024 due to eligibility concerns. Turn on some tape of Croskey-Merritt, and you will surely be impressed. He hits the hole decisively and has the speed NFL teams seek.

I absolutely love this RB Class, so you will get no arguments from me.

I am right there with you on the Tight End value. Loveland with a plus destination is intriguing, but I am most interested in either Mason Taylor or Elijah Arroyo if I can get them in the third.

Note: NFL Draft projections are based on the nflmockdraft.com database
Measurements and forty times are based on the best information available, usually from the Combine

* Travis Hunter will be a challenging prospect to rank (and draft) unless we get more information about his potential role. He is my WR1 in this class based purely on talent, but he is also potentially undraftable for fantasy.

I have included Trending Up ▲ and Trending Down ▼ Arrows

I have noted some of my Draft Value targets in RED. This indicates players who I believe are values based on their current NFL Draft Projections.

* Travis Hunter is going to be a difficult prospect to draft unless we get more information about his potential role. He is my WR1 in this class based on talent, but he is also potentially undraftable for fantasy.

I have noted some of my Draft Value targets in RED
Royals should be ahead of Tre Harris imo
I love Royals. He is one of my Value Targets. For my rankings, I take into account Draft Capital (based on the nflmockdraft.com database), which has Harris going a round earlier than Royals. We will see if that holds true. Draft Destination will also make a difference. If landing spots are equal and both are Day 2 picks, I may lean toward the upside of Royals, but Harris is a solid prospect.
