Earnest Graham? (1 Viewer)

Just wondering if Earnest Graham is worth picking up for a 4-5th RB?? If you have any inside or thoughts please respond!!

I believe the answer is yes.

Gruden really likes him, and he has shown

he has bigtime skills when given the opportunity.

When Caddy goes down, and he will,

Graham will show he has what it takes to carry the load.

(non Earnest Graham owner)

I put a big amount of waiver dollars on him this week (I'll see if I win today). Gruden acknowledged that he needed to get Graham the ball somehow and with Caddy's nagging injuries he could spell and take over goal line work, especially with no Alstott.

The Tampa Tribune doesn't expect Earnest Graham to suddenly become a big part of the Bucs' offense.

Graham's value is on special teams, and despite his two-TD effort in Week 3, probably won't take many carries from Cadillac Williams going forward. Coach Jon Gruden confirmed Monday that Caddy is still his feature back.

Caddy had a decent game and they were up on one of the worst run defenses in the league. Caddy is fine at the moment and if he were to go down, pittman and EG would split that load. Nothing you should spend a bunch of money on imho

If it wasn't that Gruden gushed over every player who does anything of notice, I'd pay a little bit more attention to this.

There are quite a few threads on this...

But to summarize the opinions of us "homers"...Graham has little value if CW is healthy.

In reality, he is still behind Pittman on the depth chart. Both Caddy and Pittman will always get more touches than Graham, and Pitttman is even a very active part of their passing game.

Graham deserves more carries, he is a down hill runner who gets positive yardage he won't break the huge run but he can move the chains. Williams on the other hand is a bit of a dancer who some time tends to look to break the big one instead of taking what he can get. With the Bucs starting out on a positive note I think Gruden will keep Williams on a short leash and if he is not producing you will see more of Graham.

Pittman has been playing FB with Alstott going down. He's still getting carries but it's more or less in that capacity. I like Graham to be used more, especially as he's shown more than Pittman.
