Ebenezer Ekuban (1 Viewer)

Mr. Peterson

With Ebenezer Ekuban tearing his Achilles in this past weekends game, who is the most likely candidate to take over his spot? And does this player hold any kind of fantasy value? Thanks.

Supposedly K. Lang is line for it. Though, I'd venture to say that DEN DL can be valuable in the NFL, they are not all that great for FF. They rotate often and many of their DL are bascially PT players, even though they start.

Ekuban was playing right defensive end, with Jarvis Moss moving into his spot on passing downs while Ekuban played tackle. If the Broncos think Moss provides enough on the edge in run support, his every down pass rush capability may end up being a better option than Lang. Crowder may also be in the mix. But, as Bizkiteer said, it's probably going to be a rotation. Ekuban was really the only guy likely to be close to an every down player. Moss is probably the only guy with a shot at real IDP value, but only if he gets a significant number of rotational snaps in the base defense. Worth watching the local Denver media over the next two weeks.

For what it's worth, there is now talk that DEN is eyeing S. Rice as a possible replacement. Though Rice would still be rostered in dynasty teams, he could have value as he has in the past, for leagues that award good pts for sacks.
