Eddie Money (1 Viewer)

He had a pretty wild lifestyle, even for a rock and roller. I'm kind of surprised that he made it to age 70.

Anyway, I hope he pulls through and makes a recovery.

Saw him open for Cyndi Lauper at the Spectrum in Philly circa 1984 or 1985. Wishing him a speedy recovery!

Seeing this thread I could only recall two of his songs (Two-tickets and Shakin).  But looking him up he had a pretty long and successful career.  Several really good songs.  Stage 4 is serious stuff, but hope he can somehow fight it.

the tune with Ronnie Spector was nothing short of ubiquitous that summer of '86 ... "Take me home tonight /blahblahblah/beee myyy litttle bayyyyybeee"

ex Transit Cop ... swear i saw this dude down in the 50th st. station when i was a wee one.

meh, wtf knows.

anyways, godspeed to this NYC cat - get well, homie

A friend of mine saw him at a restaurant in New York before a concert there.  His opening band was some chick rock band (I don't remember the name).  My buddy was in the army at the time, talked to Eddie Money without knowing who he was.  Told him he was pretty excited to be going to the concert to see the chick band.  Said he was a cool guy about it.

That dude was the bomb.  Kill my landord...kill my landord.  Who killed Buckwheat?  Hot!  In the hot tub!  Ow!

I was friends with a guy who ended up being one of Eddie's drummers in the 1990s.  Said Eddie was a pretty cool guy.

He had 2 tickets to paradise and used them today. Rest in paradise. Cancer sucks!
His seat is due to a heart valve procedure complication from end of May, not the cancer.  Just clarifying.

Take me home tonight is just one of those songs that never gets old for me.  Can't say I was the biggest fan but I sure do like that one and a couple of others.

Some news sources say complications from cancer. Regardless, cancer sucks.

He played the Destin Seafood Festival around 2009 and I was on the planning committee for the fest. He said he'd like to play golf that day before the concert. We had someone take him to the Raven in Sandestin which is one of the best in the area. He came backstage right before the show and was a wee bit tipsy but full of joy. He was signing away and I stood in line and had a $1 bill signed.   Eddie Money Money.   Priceless!

RIP to someone who sounds like they lived to live not just not to die.

GB and Godspeed, Eddie.
