With Marshall being a free agent at the end of the season, I firmly believe the Broncos will let him go and Royal will become the number one guy in that offense--I know, it's not a big revelation saying they won't sign BM despite his solid play. Granted, Royal has put up some awful games this year, but he's started to come on the past few weeks and I fully expect that to continue . I'm hoping the Bronco brass realized after he returned a kickoff and punt two weeks ago that this kid is too talented and should get at least 5-7 targets a game. Orton continually notes that they he has an excellent rapport with Royal and I'm looking to buy this kid in the hope that he is a strong buy low candidate. I was surprised that he wasn't on Bloom's radar this week for the sell high/buy low article.

Are other dynasty owners thinking the same thing? Or, are you looking to sell him for whatever you can get in return?

By the way, I did a search on him and didn't find much, thus why I started this topic.

I landed him in the 8th round and thought I had a bargain on my hands. He has been really bad this year. I don't expect much from him next year and probably wouldn't keep him.

yeah, I agree, but with the eventual departure of Marshall I see Royal becoming a viable #2 fantasy WR again next season. His lack of targets/production at this point in the season is definitely perplexing, but could change rather quickly..

I think he'll have a better 2nd half of the season and while the overall numbers aren't what we hoped for, it's still plainly obvious that he's a sick talent that will shine when the opportunity comes. He's a firm hold / buy low in dynasty.

Royal remains a good buy low - I just havent highlighted him in the article recently because he's had a couple of good weeks back to back, so its not the best buy low window - there will be a better one when the weather gets colder.

back to back ? Royal had one good week all season, in week 5.

Week 6 he failed to catch a ball, week 7 BYE.

He had two returns for TD's in week 6. So, even though those TD's didn't help your fantasy team they kept Eddie on Sportscenter.

In my keeper league, I picked him off waivers 2 weeks ago, and then picked TO off waivers last week. I couldn't believe it. Granted, they've both crapped the bed this year, but they are too talented to stay down forever. Especially Royal, on a good team and much more football ahead of him from a keeper perspective.

I think Denver has a better than 50% chance of resigning Marshall. Four or five weeks ago I wouldn't have said that... but winning cures everything, and the relationship between both parties has been pretty amicable so far.

I'd like to believe this. But they have some damn tough decisions to make: all 4 of Marshall, Orton, Dumervil, and Scheffler will be FA's after the season. I'd love for them to lock down all 4, but I don't see it happening. I firmly believe they will get a deal done with Orton, likely before the season ends. I don't see them letting Dumervil walk - he might just be the most important player on the team. That leaves Marshall and Scheffler. I could see at least one, if not both, not being resigned, which sucks mightily.

Scheffler's as good as gone, imo, but I'm fine with it. If McDaniels isn't going to use him, then why should Denver pay him?

Of the 4, I do think he's the most expendable. But I also think he's a valuable commodity. He was used quite a bit against SD, and made one of the biggest plays in the game. I consider him to be, perhaps, the best pure receiving TE in the league - and if not the best, at the very least in the top 5.

People are still trying their best to deal him for the Roddy White's/ Dwayne Bowe's of the world....

Eddie Royal is a replacement level possession WR.
