Edge has been a pleasant surprise so far... (1 Viewer)

Unless you have no other options, I don't see how you can start Edge this week. Rudi Johnson had 18 carries for 50 yards in week 1 against the Ravens, and Thomas Jones carried 24 times for 67 yards. Neither player scored a TD, and neither player did much in terms of receiving.

Seriously, what is the best-case scenario you can expect out of Edge this week? 75 rushing, 30 receiving and 1 TD? I think even that is a stretch. I couldn't be more pleased with what the new staff is doing with the ground game, but I think you have to choose your battles. I have better options, so I'll look elsewhere this week.

Is anyone actually optimistic about Edge's chances for success this week? I just don't see it. :moneybag:

This is most definitely not the week to plug in Edge -- hopefully you drafted him as your RB3 and you don't need to.

FWIW, Willie Parker's stats against the Ravens last year. (Edge's coach, Ken Whisenhunt, ran Pitt's offense last year)

Week 12: Pitt @ BAL - 10 carries for 22 yards... 2 catches for 15 yards. 0 TDs.

Week 16: Bal @ PIT - 13 carries for 29 yards... 0 catches. 0 TDs.

Thats funny you start out hows he been a suprise and it ends with WTF you doing playing him next week

I was just thinking the same thing, might have to suit up Portis (RB#2). It's tough sitting a guy getting 25 touches a week, against anyone, people do break free sometimes, but this is the week to sit him.

Yep... 6.7 points in my league this week.

Sometimes, things are what they are and you can't fight it. Baltimore's defense is a brick wall. :(
