So how does Trump possibly win the presidency if he has a) no money and b) no Pennsylvania campaign? Meanwhile, Utah may be lost to the Ds
Liz Mair@LizMair Oct 19
Long ago-- probably close to a year-- I predicted that Trump would lose by about 10 points. Right now, that looks correct.
Josh Jordan@NumbersMuncher Oct 15
Why Trump will lose the election: He's tanking in polls. Less than a third of the field offices. He's starting a GOP civil war. Not rigged.

I can't believe Donald Trump came so close to the presidency. But let's be thankful we're not saying "I can't believe Donald Trump won."

Sophisticated types who've signed on w/ Trump are today grappling w/ the horrifying realization they've fallen in behind a con man & loser.

Jon Favreau Retweeted Paul Ryan

After Trump loses, Ryan will point to his "I won't defend him anymore" quote. The rest of us will remember this one.

@DouthatNYT Trump won't win. You can take that to the bank

:lmao:

Hispanic voters have been the sleeping giant of the American electorate. Trump has awakened that giant. We'll see the consequences now.

Seth Mandel@SethAMandel Aug 4
Trump is not just going to lose. He's going to redefine what it means to lose. And I'm going to laugh and laugh and laugh and

All the best people know Trump wasted money on losing election! Bad business! Not a winner = a loser!

RBe@RBPundit Aug 12
Hello imbecile, even if every Republican voted for Trump, he'd still lose the election. Get it yet, imbecile?

RBe@RBPundit Sep 9
The majority of GOP primary voters decided to lose to Hillary Clinton by voting for Trump and Cruz. These are the facts.

Stephen Miller@redsteeze Oct 11
Hillary was elected the second Trump won the nomination. You'll figure this out eventually.

Stephen Miller@redsteeze Sep 7
.@seanhannity  Trump is campaigning off his Twitter account, his hats and your crappy radio show. That's why he'll lose.

Interesting note that this election had all time record straight ticket voting. I hate seeing that.

Here in Utah there is actually an option at the top to just check one box to vote straight D or straight R.  Is that common elsewhere to?  So dumb.

Yep I agree. I think the politicians love it though. I think it's Michigan that installed a button for straight ticket voting for this election. They must have thought that was a good idea at the time.

where did you see this?  been looking for a site with a comprehensive list of specific, detailed stats (like this, or that trump got 29% more votes from white working class women, etc.)  I've heard some on podcasts, but would like to see a list.

edit: nytimes site is pretty good, now that I look.  not that one, but many other breakdowns: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/11/08/us/politics/election-exit-polls.html

If someone wants to vote straight ticket be it R or D that is their right...they have other options...no one s making them do it...

No doubt, it just seems dumb to make it as easy as possible to vote with no information about what you're actually voting for.  Hitler could come back from the dead and run as a democrat and 20% of the voters in the state would vote for him because they didn't even look, even though they clearly did not intend to vote for Hitler.

I think they should not only get rid of the straight ticket button and make you actually pick each one individually, but they should get rid of the R and D next to people's names.  If you want to vote straight down the ticket that's fine, but you should at least know the names of the people you're voting for.

Totally disagree.  Party affiliation is one of the most important things to know about a candidate.

Sure they do, but I think it encourages some lazy voting/thinking.
What's the old saying...you can lead a horse to water...

I don't think this is a big issue and if it got abolished it wouldn't bother me but at some point we just gotta let people do what they want...as far as lazy goes I find that to be the case about anyone who can't obtain a proper ID...it's not that difficult...maybe there's a middle-ground...you gotta show ID and no more straight ticket...

Also interesting is Hillary is on pace to receive more votes ever than any candidate not named Obama.

What is that a compromise on? I'm anti straight ticket and pro voter ID. I don't think those issues are related at all.
