doing some cleaning and decided to finally get rid of some old electronic equipment, specifically a CRT monitor, Dell desktop computer, and two laptops. haven't used them in at least three years. there's a local recycling center that accepts these items, but i'm a bit leery about handing over them as complete units.
the question: should i take the hard drives out of these devices before dropping them off?
