I think it will be good for Eli. Palmer was, in my opinion, the main reason Bledsoe improved enough to take the Pats to the Superbowl. After he left, Bledsoe regressed, and never regained the same form.

Eli needs help. His career is teetering. He's got talent, no question. He needs somebody there to drive him. To keep him pointed in the right direction, and to get his development into an NFL QB progressing in the right direction. He's shown flashes of brilliance at the beginning of each of the last two NFL seasons, only to tail off.

Great move TC.

Palmer is a very very good QB coach. IMO That is why he was able to become a HC in the NFL.

Some competition/quality backup would be nice.

Probably a good thing, but if he doesn't get some pass protection nobody will be very consistent back there. Some WR help would be nice too. Having Toomer and Petigout back Will help a lot but Moss better show a lot more than last year because they need some more threats, especially deep threats.I don't think Eli regressed as much as the talent around him did. This year should say a lot about Eli, but I am not down on him yet as he had one of the worst pass protecting OL's in the league
