Eli Manning (1 Viewer)

Unless Droughns and Jacobs surprise or the OL improves a LOT, Eli is in for a rough year.

Probably more TD passes and yardage, but more INTs.

I don't think it will be that bad. I think Droughns and Jacobs can do a servicable job together. I think the loss of Pettigout combined with Barber would be something to think about. One thing about Barber is that he was such a good receiver out of the backfield and good in pass protechtion. To me the one thing that hurt manning last year was the loss of Toomer. He is not flashy but he is a very consistant target. Something that Burress and Shockey are not. All in all I think you can expect about the same numbers. maybe even a few more since he will have to throw down the field more instead of the dump off passes to Barber.

if they can't establish the run, Eli is in for a long season. Barber has been the focal point of the offense for years, its going to be hard for Eli to duplicate 24 tds without Barber around, he was Manning's security blanket.

Droughns is nothing fancy, and Jacobs may or may not be able to handle being a featured back , only time will tell

I can't see Manning throwing for more than 20-22 TD's in 2007. I think his TD totals will go down and his INT's will go up. The Giants will miss Barber more than people think.

this offense will struggle to find an indentity without Barber, and if they don't fix their defensive problems, they will see less offensive possessions, which in turn means less chances for Manning..

I'll put Manning down for 20 TDs, 20 INTs.. this is going to be a long season for Big Blue, IMO.
