(Rotoworld) The Broncos have decided to stop experimenting with Elvis Dumervil as an occasional defensive tackle.

Impact: He's a great edge rusher and will continue to perform in that role. Dumervil could challenge for a starting role this season because the Broncos feel he showed he can play on early downs in the NFL despite his size.

Is Elvis Dumervil worth picking up and stashing on my bench?

Thoughts?

As we have to keep 3 rookies from last year I will keep Dumervil. My other DL is Jason Taylor and I will pick up another D-Liner in our rookie draft for insurance.Guess Dumervil should be a solid DL next year.

People laughed when I drafted Dumerville as my 3rd DE at 26.16 in an inaugural dynasty draft recently, but I was quite happy with him there. :X

 Oookay. I don't remember seeing Dumervil too often on early downs. If it was truly enough to make that determination, the fact that Dumervil made exactly six tackles in thirteen games after subtracting the sacks and never more than one per game should make them think again. He's the kind of edge rusher Jim Bates prefers, but his potential to succeed as an every down two way end is wishful thinking.
