Employee dilemma (1 Viewer)

One of my workers came to my office to pick up a check. He was driving a pick up truck with a puppy in a crate chained to the back. The puppy was whimpering and scared.

Im ready to fire him tomorrow and I've told management with no response yet. I will not tolerate animal abuse.

if they give me #### I will tell them to fire me because I will not be party to this crap

im ready to call the animal cops

I've never owned a dog--so maybe this link is not proper--but according to the link below--it's actually considered good and safe behavior to tie down the crate to the bed of a truck if you are going to travel with your dog.   Other sites say that puppies might whimper or make noise because they are not completely used to that kind of transportation at such an early age--so I'm not sure what you are describing is abuse.  Again--keep in mind--I know next to nothing about dogs--so I certainly stand corrected if I'm wrong.

When my little brother was young, he said in the middle of a grocery store "no, mommy, don't hit me anymore."

He was spoiled and looking for attention.  No one ever hit him.  Fortunately, it was another era.  Another parent said "we all know if you ever hit him, now would be the time you'd do it" and everyone went their separate ways.

Some dogs whine.  Tying a dog inside a crate in the back of a truck is much safer than just being in the back of a truck.

The guy just came from work which means that puppy was in the back for at least 9 hours

You can't possibly know whether or not he just picked up the dog from a friend.  Did you bother to ask, or did you just decide on your own?

About a week ago, you started another thread about an employee dilemma. In an effort to assist you, I did some research on the topic of concern and posted a short summary of the legal issue and a link that I found that was helpful to your situation. You didn't even bother to return to post in the thread. So although employment law/human resources/performance management is my background, I'll pass on commenting on this and future employee situations that you may find yourself in.

Why is it the same people on these forums always are the same ones having problems.

actually don't answer that I figured it out.

I sense we are awful close to this clown's next epic meltdown where he promises to never return.

Is that what's going on.  Some people desperately need lives.

It should be obvious why I didn't return to post in the thread.
