End of Bills-Titans game..... (1 Viewer)

Why was there no PI penalty at the end of the Buffalo-Tennessee game.

When Losman threw it up for grabs, the Bills receiver (Evans?) tried to come

back to the ball and got totally ran over by the defender. Am I wrong or should this have been called.

Seemed blatant.

And yes, he got plowed into and there was no call made..........are you really surprised that it didn't get called? That stuff just doesn't happen for the Bills and until the calls start going the bills way we'll never see the playoffs....

2nd last drive, the Bills had 3rd and 1 and they went to a shotgun formation. Ridiculous play call there, IMO. Great game, but the Bills let it get away from them with some big mistakes throughout and especially at the end.

That was pretty ugly. Definitely seemed like there should've been a call to me, and that's speaking as a Titans fan. My guess is they treated it like a Hail Mary (which is pretty much was), and refs usually let defenders get away with way to much on Haily Marys.

On the one at the end of the 1st half, which the Bills completed and were able to kick a FG after the face mask, there was a very blatant shove by the Bills WR...also not called.

I think in general, the refs put the whistle away on those plays.

Seems to me a couple of years ago there was a really terrible PI call on a Hail Mary thrown by Bledsoe causing the Bledsoe-led team to win. Don't remember if it was as a Bill or Pat. Anyone?

Also, the very first series of the game the Bills drove down the field with McGahee tearing up the defense. They got down to first and goal at the 3 yard line. 2 of the 3 plays called were passes. The Bills settled for a FG. When you have a hot RB like that you give him the ball 3 times and trust him to get in.And either way at the end of the game, wind or no wind, I think the Bills should have attempted to FG. Lindell has been really good this season and was already 5 for 5 on the day with a 45 yarder.

i remember that. it was the pats vs bills. bledsoe throws a ball and they call an awwwwful pi penalty. on the next play bledsoe hits Coates for the game winner. it kept the Bills outta the playoffs. this was the same yr testeverde scored a td vs sea, but really didnt.i am not sure if there was pi or not on this play today. bills shoulda won regardless. the team is getting better though and once they get some run stoppers they will be a legit afc east contender.

What's been long forgotten about that play was that it wasn't really a Hail Mary. The pass was only 25 yards or so, albeit in traffic.

I know people said it was windy. But the kicker allready made one from that distance earlier in the game. I don't understand why you don't try for the win there by kicking a FG.

Instead they went for a pass play and kind of left it in the refs hands hoping for a interference call. I don't like that decision at all.

I thought the same thing on the first series.

Its not a national story that the bills are on the receiving end of a horrendous game changing call. welcome to life as a bills fan in the 21st century.

I'll admit he got plowed if you admit that the Bills WR completely pushed off for the catch at the end of the 1st half.

My brother's girlfriens'd brothers came straight from the game to the airport to Phoenix. Talked to them about it and they said the wind was so crazy there from minute to minute that any field goal try was a crapshoot. Doesn't mean they shouldn't have, but as die-hard Bills fans even they weren't second guessing the call. Losman's decision to loft it up instead of trying for the 5 yards though they had a different angle on.

I've yet to see a replay of that play, but I'll give you that its possible. That's not really my point though. The Bills have been awful for so long that they're completely irrelevant in the NFL landscape. Bills stories aren't really newsworthy to the rest of the league. If the Bills get screwed in a forest and nobody is there to see it did they really get screwed?

I don't understand why they continue to get cute with their playcalling. The running game was working fairly well when they used it. Losman is having a decent year and has improved quite a bit but he's still not a very good QB. I just don't understand some of the playcalls putting the ball in his hands when they don't need to.

This playcalling is ridiculous IMO...you are nearly in FG position. McGahee picks up 4 yards on 1st down, why not run him again? Then on 3rd down when you are in 2 down territory and need to pickup 5 yards you throw a 30 yard pass to Price? They deserved to lose....

1-10-TEN33 (1:56) (Shotgun) W.McGahee left end to TEN 29 for 4 yards (C.Finnegan, K.Bulluck).

2-6-TEN29 (1:29) (No Huddle) J.Losman pass short right to L.Evans to TEN 28 for 1 yard (R.Hill). Screen, caught at TEN 29.

3-5-TEN28 (1:02) (No Huddle, Shotgun) J.Losman pass incomplete deep right to P.Price. Overthrown, receiver along sideline at TEN 11.

4-5-TEN28 (:57) J.Losman pass deep left intended for J.Reed INTERCEPTED by R.Hill at TEN 2. R.Hill to TEN 13 for 11 yards

I remember that game. It wasn't awful; it was blatant pass interference where the receiver who had a good chance to catch the ball was pushed out of the way. Not a jump ball with incidental contact. The best part of that was watching the Bills players walk off the field before the extra point attempt and listening to Bills fans complain that they went for the 2-point conversion.

Funny comment from a Pats fan. I have a different recollection... even the commentators said there was no penalty "that they could see." It was such a bad call.I don't know about the Tenessee game, I didn't watch any football this past weekend. What a sucky weekend.
