The good news is 500 churches closed but offset by 400+ Mosques opening up.
How long until the US is equally overrun?

Good to hear NCC.No sarcasm. I am an athiest personally. But I can't deny the possibilities that science provides for these mechanics. Now the possibilities are of course remote but can't be ruled out completely if we are going to be intellectually honest. Even if they do seem.to be getting metaphysical. If that's where the science leads us then it does.
There's an app for thatBut I'm terrible with directions. Cloudy day, no sun and time to face east and pray....
Well yeah. This is why I said I place greater value in the reality that we know is true, or is true enough for it to be germane to our daily lives. The weird world of alternate universes/simulations/"heaven" or anything else that you can dream up with QM giving it a non zero chance of happening is much less important to me. Or at least that's what I meant to say, if I could be bothered to pay attention to what I wroteNo offense guys, but this is sounding a lot like modern alchemy.
Now, I have no problem with that, but when we start talking about "create" and the transfer of consciousness, we are really on a line that straddles religion...even if it speaks the modern language of science.
Again, I am not critical of it at all; it's just that it may not be as far away from what some earlier posts deny.
Am I mis-reading sarcasm here?
Sure.Good to hear NCC.![]()
I am agnostic.
Just as I am unable to prove the existence of God(s), etc.; I am equally unable to disprove.
I am not "religious"; thus, my personal beliefs are what I must rely on to go further than that. And those beliefs allow for the benefit of religious/spiritual concepts that are framed in scientific clothes. Underneath, the bones may be the same, even if the flesh and cloth covering it may not be.
Therefore, I will not accept any creed, but I will always believe that there is a place for concepts such as covered here, regardless of what they are called or how they are advanced.
Similar to alchemy, and its role as a bridge between the spiritual and the scientific, with all of its errors...it is the edge of the understood...even if not known.
Does this make sense?![]()
Dedicated only to leisure and laziness, this is a truly barbarous people. They depend on animals for their livelihood and they live like animals.those good-for-nothing Irish though? Salt of the earth. Keep those drunks coming. We need more of their kind around here.
Since we are labeling ourselves, I'm ignostic. It's like agnostic, but we just say "fuggit, man"Good to hear NCC.![]()

But the thing is just because you don't recognize it as a simulation doesn't mean it isn't. And if it is that definitely changes what you "know" is true.Well yeah. Was working out great. Until all the suicides.I remember when the Japanese were going to own the world, including the US. How'd that work out again?
I am way out there in this area as an epistemological solipsist...not a metaphysical one.But the thing is just because you don't recognize it as a simulation doesn't mean it isn't. And if it is that definitely changes what you "know" is true.
a) I didn't say all the QM weird possibilities don't exist, I just said that I value them to a much less degree compared to my and our society's daily life and how we can make this world a better place. But the thing is just because you don't recognize it as a simulation doesn't mean it isn't. And if it is that definitely changes what you "know" is true.
Now personally I am not on the sim train. I think it adds a layer of complexity that is not unlike that added with a supreme being running everything. And the more complex an answer the less likely it is to be the right answer. But still we have to allow for that non-zero chance to keep ourselves honest in our thought process.
As we all are.a) I didn't say all the QM weird possibilities don't exist, I just said that I value them to a much less degree compared to my and our society's daily life and how we can make this world a better place.
b) I'm wrong about a lot of stuff
OK then.Sure.Good to hear NCC.![]()

No joke.. I have a t shirt that says "Is it solipsistic in here, or is it just me?"I am way out there in this area as an epistemological solipsist...not a metaphysical one.
Thus, most everything for me is based on belief...I guess you could call me a "No-Fact Zone".![]()
No I don't think we can. The theories surrounding the multi-verse are all grounded in math and science. Now are they being creative? Perhaps. But that isn't the same as magical thinking.OK then.
If what I stated seems reasonable to you, then can we not make the argument that those working on the edge of the understood are in fact still engaging in magical thinking to a certain degree?
No, it is not the level of magical thinking that occurs at Ark Park, but it is still most likely going to be more wrong than right in the long run...at least in my opinion.
Never the less, it will continue to be a bridge towards a more accurate and effective belief system.
I NEED that shirt! No joke.. I have a t shirt that says "Is it solipsistic in here, or is it just me?"

Hey Isaac Newton and Niels Bohr, can we get this thing back on track and talk more about how bad Muslims are?

From your lips to God's ears.America gets more secular every day. The point that is coming is all religion will be seen as outdated and unimportant. Can't happen soon enough either.

As were many of the theories of the alchemist of old. Though, I will concede they did not employ our current version of the scientific method. No I don't think we can. The theories surrounding the multi-verse are all grounded in math and science.
I will have to think more on this NCC, but my current hunch is that when scientists are finally able to merge quantum physics with the physics of the large, much of what we have now may well appear to be magical. Now are they being creative? Perhaps. But that isn't the same as magical thinking.
And then we will enter a new heat age, famine, world war, ice age and near extinction. Returning to tribal life, there is a need to understand the trifles of life; we pray to the sun that warms us each day.2 hours ago, NCCommish said:

What about when they convert and set the all time NBA scoring record, act in movies and write best selling books?Just stating the obvious. I mean when normal people convert and then strap on a suicide belt, they are as dumb as they come.
You are huuuuge. You are tremendous, bigly the next most wonderful thing. Worshipping you is going to be as great as worshipping me. It's like equal, just not the same. I'm so glad you happened.I thought we agreed, it IS just about me. Hey, maybe this Trump program is onto something.

The draft of the Caliphatehe'll do something different after the NFL draft. he's working on a full 7 round mock draft that will come out the night before.
Even though I completely disagree with this statement, I do like the eloquence and it's a really cool thing to think about. When people realize that when you die you don't go to a better place, they will finally decide to make THIS world the better place. I don't expect this to happen in my lifetime, but I can hope.
