EOTG update on Arizona (1 Viewer)

In this weeks EOTG I promised to break down the Cardinals week 3 game and this is what I learned.

My recording started at 11:16 to go in the 1st quarter so I missed a few plays. Give or take a couple of plays, the scheme breakdown looked like this. Arizona was in a 3-4 roughly 28 snaps, a 4-3 about 10 and a nickel for about 20 plays.

The player breakdown as far as positions was pretty crazy. They have people moving all over the place. For example, Clark Haggans lined up at OLB on most of his snaps but he also worked at DE and ILB. Bert Berry worked at OLB and DE about equally, Darnell Dockett saw action at DE in the 3-4 and both DT and DE in the 4-3. And finally, Travis Laboy took about 22 snaps at OLB in the 3-4 along with 7 at DE in the nickel and 4 at DE in the 4-3.

That doesn't clear up much for us as far as trying to figure out who is going to produce. One thing that I thought surprising was the number of plays LaBoy wasn't on the field. I think they are playing too many guys at the DL and OLB positions for anyone to help us much.

One other note, Berry is going to miss significant time with a torn groin muscle. We are likely to see an increased role for both LaBoy and Haggans while he is out.

Best of luck to everyone in week 4

Thanks for the update!

I've got LaBoy as my #5/6 LB (start 4) so I think he's a good bye week fill in hoping he blows up but I wouldn't trust him as an every week LB starter just yet.
