Epitome of anti-Patriots bad taste (1 Viewer)

Not surprised. When you run a dynasty like the Pats have, then haters will stream from their parents basements to cackle with glee when something like this happens.

I guess they're happy their second rate team now has a chance to win. :lmao:

Edit... ah Steelers fan... makes it even less surprising. Revise previous statement regarding mothers basement to "out of their trailers".

After the crap Belichick pulled last year by continually pounding team's d*cks in the dirt and going for it on fourth down with the team in FG range and the opposing team down by eighty points, the obnoxious schadenfreude should surprise no one.

Pay it forward, Pats fans.

I agree that the shirt is in bad taste and I'm not a Steelers fan, but "second rate team?" You mean the team that has two more SB rings than the Patriots? The one that hasn't been caught cheating? I know it's easy to "cackle with glee" when your team goes undefeated* and runs up the score on other teams...but what goes around will eventually come around. Like I said, definite lack of class with the shirt. But Pittsburgh is not a second-rate team on any level. The Patriots went from perfect to pitied in two games. Can't fall much farther than that.

I'm a proud member of the fan club. Ordered my shirt yesterday.Go Steelers!
Celebrating a season-ending injury -- note the slash through Tom Brady's No. 12 -- is never something to be proud of.

There was similar praise when Aeneas Williams knocked out Steve Young. It's completely classless, but it's a byproduct of long term winning. Accept it and move on.

WHo cares? Are you his mother or father? Tom Brady is making millions, is sitting at home getting bl0wn by giselle, and will be fine in 1 year.

Whoa is me

I am not hating on Brady as I would not hope for any player to be injured. Karma is a ##### and this is the beginning of NE and Belichecks payment. When there are multiple rules and "points of emphasis" because of the way you exploit the system, it will eventually come back on you. Look at the penance the 49ers are paying for the Debartolo years.

You know what, it is just a game, and it is not a "serious injury". If brady got concussed or paralized it is one thing, but he blew out a knee. He'll be back next year and be fine. So someone went a little over the line on a shirt, big deal.

It's not like they made a "derrick Thomas driving school" shirt or something like that. There are degrees here, and this one is minor in my book.

Low Class.... Glad it wasn't out of NY at least. Overall on Jets boards I've seen nothing but, respect. I believe cuz we've been there before and we know the Pats are still at the top until proven otherwise.

Given the past year or so, I really find it remarkable how good the NY reaction has been on the air and on the boards....

I don't like the Pats and ,their fans can be uber obnoxious and their coach can be a major league jerk off that likes to throw it in people's faces..

Yet I HATE INJURIES and would never root for or celebrate an injury..

It is part of the game though and my team has been thru this.

I know that when Vinny went down there was a good deal of "Cackling" going on. It happens, the Jets were one of the favorites.

Parcells also took incredible heat for not having a backup that they could still challenge with.

Dude I'd hold a friggin parade if I could, that's how much I hate Tom Brady.
I give guys like you a pass because you're upfront and honest about the dislike; that's the way football fandom is supposed to be...not whining about morality and ethics and karma and blah blah blah. Now, get back in your trailer.

Meh. It's the Steelers. NE has rocked them so many times it's all Pitt has to hang on to. I went to the opening game at Gillette following the first SB -- after the Pats wiped the floor with the Steelers in Pittsburgh. We had a field day with Kordell Stewart. Bettis came over to our area during warmups with Amos Zeroue to try and neutralize us, but that just made it worse for him.

Cheer all you want.

In many ways it's the ultimate sign of respect...if you can't beat them than wish bad things on them so you can beat them.

Reaper you are doing a solid job of playing the respectful, classy angle. I just know too many Jets fans to believe you. ;)

It's a shirt, get over it.

I've grown tired of all the Brady a## kissing, the guy got hurt, oh well, life goes on. Let's see what the Pats are made of now...

Maybe That says more about the people you know.. You probably have a back and forth personal rivalry thing going there.I'm talking about fan message boards like Theganggreen.com and Jetsinsider as well as the AOL Jets board....I just haven't seen it 1 bit in NY myself.I was Shocked at Schillings comments but, whatever, it's Schilling and it's in his best interest to stir things up.

So you can't make a T Shirt about an injury but you can post countless threads on message boards and refer to guys like Fragile Fred Taylor, making light of his past medical problems? How about all the Eagle haters and when they say "yeah McNabb can't stay healthy for the whole year" etc etc

quit whining

Didn't many Patriots fans do the same when Bledsoe was injured? Wasn't Mo Lewis a hero for awhile?
Not that I know. No one believed in Brady for most of the year. All the guys I knew were clamoring for Drew and it took awhile for them to get on the Brady-train. I heard a few jokes here and there a year later about Mo Lewis and what not but there were no Mo Lewis tshirt fan clubs days after Bledsoe had bleeding in his lungs.

I think there's a difference - If Brady got hurt a bunch of years in a row and we called him Fragile Brady, I think that could be funny or at least somewhat truthful - Mcnabb and Fred DID have injury problems in their careers. Talking about it IMO is fine and Different that Celebrating the instant they do go down and making a shirt about it.If I'm walking down the street and I see someone wearing a "Hallelujuh Brady is OUT" Tee shirt, I look at that guy and think he's a complete low life as a sports fan and shake my head.

Gotta suck being Pollard too.... seriously.. you want to go out there and knock people around.. not ruin their year or lively hood..

I think a lot of fans would much rather have seen this happen to Belichick (i.e. like Joe Pa's accident). Since that probably won't happen, they are stoked by the fact that it happened to his golden boy.

Belichick is a ####.

Ignorant football fan...Going for it on 4th down is giving the other team a chance..kicking a FG is adding on points and running up the score.

Don't be such a baby

I don't really have anything against Brady. I talked with he and some of his high school friends a few times just before and after his first SB win and he seemed like a genuinely nice guy (at least at that time). BB and the cheater express deserve as much bad juju as can be tossed upon them though. Running up scores for records, cheating, lying, and generally being a giant d-bag is always going to receive disdain, and rightfully so.

an Eagles fan has to own that site.........
Because only Eagles fans know how to do classless things...like cheer their unconscious QB (Clev/Couch), boo their QB while winning to the point he doesn't want to return to the game (VYoung), or light smoke bombs during a post-911 game (Dallas fan in Was). They're all Eagles fans in disguise.

Passing on 4th down (to get another TD for poor, poor Tommy) and running on 4th down are two totally different things.

Wishing or celebrating an injury to anyone is just one of the lowest things you can do.

Unless it's Bobby Petrino, then it's cool.

You're probably right ... it's plot by th Birds fans to sabotage the rest of the NFL..!!!!!you stated 3 seperate incidents in 3 different cities..... the Eagles fans have a looooooooong list and have been whinning about the Pts cheating them in the SB

He's out for the season, not his career. He's not paralyzed or dead, either.

To paraphrase Chris Rock, "I didn't root for him to get hurt, but I'm not sad it happened."

Really? I really haven't heard much whining about the Pats cheating from Eagle fans at all...besides Arlen Specter anyway.

Classless? Sure.

Do I feel sorry for Brady? I would trade places with him in a New York minute.

As someone else said, if it were death or paralysis or some injury that would make a substantial impact on his quality of life, lay off.

But a bum knee that will be healed next year? Not a big deal, he can take "hate" I am sure.
