Epitome of anti-Patriots bad taste (1 Viewer)

WHo cares? Are you his mother or father? Tom Brady is making millions, is sitting at home getting bl0wn by giselle, and will be fine in 1 year.

Whoa is me
I realize I'm probably the last person on this board who should be the grammar police, but you've got me in tears with this one.I can't get image of Joey Lawerence saying this out of my head.

Embrace the Hate in 08......

New England is up there with all the other hated teams; Pittsburgh (seems to me more than a few people were un-sympathetic when Big Ben planted his head into a car), Dallas (on top for a long time, a long time ago; and who cried when Romo was emasculated by Jessica before the playoffs last year) and Indy (but everyone love Tony and Peyton).

Time to build our Cassel on the island of HATE!!!!

I'm with The Noid and others here- there is absolutely nothing wrong with being happy about, or even making light of, this injury. Comparing the cheering and the t-shirts and all of it to cheering a head injury (or, in the case of Michael Irvin and his episode in Philly, a spine injury) is preposterous. At no time on Sunday or since has there been the slightest possibility that Brady would have long-term health issues, or that he would lose his millions, or his adoring fans, or his supermodel gilfriend. Brady suffered a season-ending injury on a clean play, just like many other NFL players have, and many more will. The fact that he plays for a team that went for in on fourth-down while up 30 last year several times, and threw long bombs in the same situation, and admitted to cheating and got a slap on the wrist from the league? Don't tell me not to enjoy the schadenfreude.

He's out for the season, not his career. He's not paralyzed or dead, either. To paraphrase Chris Rock, "I didn't root for him to get hurt, but I'm not sad it happened."

 that is sooo unfunny, it's funny. When he gets levelled, what's the over under on Berman nicknaming him Cassel's Made of Sand?

You know the word. We get it. We got it a month ago.

Ah, the island gets bigger all the time.....

The reason this works is because some Pats fans (emphasis on some) get so bent out of shape about it. Its like telling my 5 year old to ignore when my 3 year old is spitting at her. Make a big deal about it, and he'll do it more. The 5 year old just doesn't get the concept.

Not surprised. When you run a dynasty like the Pats have, then haters will stream from their parents basements to cackle with glee when something like this happens. I guess they're happy their second rate team now has a chance to win. :shrug:Edit... ah Steelers fan... makes it even less surprising. Revise previous statement regarding mothers basement to "out of their trailers".
There's my buddy...been missing you and your awesome awesome intellect.

Ignorant football fan...Going for it on 4th down is giving the other team a chance..kicking a FG is adding on points and running up the score.
;)
Passing on 4th down (to get another TD for poor, poor Tommy) and running on 4th down are two totally different things.
Always amazed at the lack of football acumen at this site.

As a Pats fan, I could care less about T-Shirts immortalizing Pollard, or fans of other teams, (primarily the Jets, since that's my area and we have the hated rival) laughing at Brady getting his knee blown out and getting knocked out for the season. It's football, not some pansy hobby. It's supposed to be tough, and bad things are supposed to happen.

As for the guys crying about the patriots running up the score and going for 1st downs late in the fourth quarter while being up by 30 points, you need to do some research. maybe open up a game log or something, rather than acting like a tape recorder mimicking what you heard, because contrary to popular belief, that did not happen. Brady threw maybe 4 TD's all season when the game could have been considered out of hand. And the Patriots backups played more snaps than probably every other teams backups combined last year. that may be an exaggeration, but I'm sure if it is, it's not by much. And, even if you refuse to spend some time researching yourself and cling to your misconception, then just remember, it's football, and if you can't get over it, maybe it's time to follow some pansy hobby. Maybe start some Pansy Fantasy League or something. Just an idea.

More whining from some of the Patriot fans?

Where and the #### was this faux outrage when you had the *Pat fans circulating the humorous Ben/motorcycle photoshop pictures at Patriotsplanet and Patsfans forums? You didnt, they had a big ol' circle jerk with nothing but laughter and happy :smilies: at his near death injury. [Which was fine by me, as is this attempt at crude humor.]

Also, the Pats had more cheating films turned in that were of the Steelers then anyone else, incl the AFCCG. What exactly did you expect the response was going to be to Marsha going down? There is no love loss between these two teams.

Toughen up buttercup.

Don't kid yourself. No one is afraid of Big Ben.

Never said they were. What does that have to do with poking fun at someones misfortune? Nothing.

You know what, it is just a game, and it is not a "serious injury". If brady got concussed or paralized it is one thing, but he blew out a knee. He'll be back next year and be fine. So someone went a little over the line on a shirt, big deal.

It's not like they made a "derrick Thomas driving school" shirt or something like that. There are degrees here, and this one is minor in my book.
Blown ACL and MCL? Ask Culpepper if he thinks his injury was serious.

It is nothing I would wear and I consider it low class. I will say the pats had it coming to them though.

 People don't hate the Pats because of their so called dynasty. They hate them because of the tuck rule, the blatant holding against the Colts and Panthers in the postseason, videogate, and so on.Move on.
