***EPL 2018-19 Fantasy League*** Draft Done - Waivers run on Wednesday (1 Viewer)

Also, special thanks to @gianmarco and @drunken slob for their help in keeping the draft running and updated with the various lists and league site while I was out - I thought the draft went very well, despite the usual weekend slowdown.

 
Ok round 16 is done.

Absent a compelling reason to the contrary - lets start round 17 at 12:00 noon et, 9:00 am pt.

We'll let it run for 48 hours - ends at 12:00 noon et on Friday -  at which point i will lock the draft, and all players will go on waivers.  I will set up waiver to run once - next Wednesday @9:00 PM et - same as every Wednesday during the season.

Reminder - all new players will have to pass through waivers before being eligible as a FA - I expect a few signings before Wednesday, but also a busier last day of the window on Thursday (it could also be a dud  :shrug:  ) - but any players who are added on Thursday, will not be available the first weekend (unless you already drafted them).

Just so we’re clear, if we draft a player now that’s in  “WW” status on Fantrax we aren’t actually using our waiver order correct?  I assume Sinn Fein will have to put him on our team as we won’t be able to do it ourselves.  Assuming that’s correct we take;

correct - nobody should be adding any players by themselves.  We are still in draft mode.

ETA - any player in the world is eligible to be drafted - WW/FA status is not in play here.  Waiver order will be the reverse order of the draft, once the draft is complete.

Was hoping he might slip and could pick up later.  I don't know how well he's going to do from a fantasy standpoint, but this guy could be the best signing they made this year.  Similar to Kante, a guy that can finally provide a defensive presence in the midfield.  And his passing is exquisite from what I've seen.

Could end up being a really good pick if he links up on offense.

He looks awesome on the ball and slow in defense imo. He's got a habit of sticking his leg out for tackles. He's going to give away too many free kicks imo (iirc he's the one who's foul led to the United FK goal) Also gave away two FKs against City. Lovely on the ball and in looking for space when teammates have the ball, but he needs to stop with the long legged tackle.

@Sinn Fein when can I drop my Leeds player and replace him?

Is he considered like the other out of league picks?  I'm fine with that, I haven't draft a Championship player before or been quite that stupid in the past. 

 
I was disappointed that this Alfonse Capone guy who's trending on Twitter today isn't an EPL transfer target

To be fair, I think when you drafted him he was still officially a Wolves player...

But, the answer to your question is next Wednesday.  Obviously you can drop him when ever you want, but you can't replace him until waivers run next wednesday.

If, and when, these players are added, I will swap them out for you.  Send me a PM if you see them in Fantrax before I do. 

Remember if you drop any placeholder, it is the same as dropping the player you drafted.

In the event that one of the drafted players is selected in the waiver process - i.e. before I have added the player to the correct team - I will simply reverse the transaction, but you will not get the next person on your waiver list.

Yes - you can pick up players either in the waiver draft at 9:00 pm ET on Wednesday - or you can pick up players as FAs right after waivers run.

In other words, you should have a full bench before week 1 (and you can probably still get your player that you wanted in round 17...)

 
One last reminder - all new players added to Fantrax must pass through waivers first.

Fantrax is usually pretty good about listing players quickly around deadline day.  Most, if not all, new players who sign before Wednesday, will be available to be selected via waivers on Wednesday, and then FAs immediately after.

New players who sign on deadline day - Thursday - will not be eligible to be selected until they pass through waivers on the following Wednesday - i.e. they cannot be selected for week 1.

If you drafted the player - I will put him on your roster.  And, if any player simply switches PL teams, and they are already in the fantrax database - they will not be placed on waivers.

2) Select the team you wish to add an owner to.
3) Select "Add".
4) Enter the username or email address associated with the Fantrax account of the owner you wish to add. Note that this person must already have a Fantrax account (if not, then he/she must register one).

Trying to add my son to co-manage my team.  Where is "go to commissioner" link?

Do i get a waiver add without a drop since I didn't draft anyone in the 17th? Just looking to confirm since I was going to drop whoever I drafted there anyway.
