Eric Berry may have Cancer (Lymphoma) (1 Viewer)

Bummer. Co-worker used to play football with his dad at Harrisburg Academy. At least he did until Berry came to school with a handgun. Anyway, always followed him closely because of the loose connection. T&Ps.

I'm the same age as Berry, last year I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

6 months of treatment, wiped all signs of it out. He's in much better shape than I'll ever be, I like his odds.

Either way, that ####### sucks.

That's terrible. I hope he's OK.

I lived near Karl Nelson. I saw him at stores and felt like I could see the disease eating his body. He went from this huge human being to somewhat regular looking. The disease and radiation affects were more than I ever imagined. He eventually gained a lot of muscle tone back and looked good last I saw him. It's been a long time but whatever I read of him, sounds like he's doing well.

Leshon Johnson seemed to fall off the face of the earth then popped up for dog fighting arrest. I don't know anything about him after the treatment and all.

I have had the pleasure of talking to Karl and he is not a normal human being-he's very special very tough very determined, takes seconds to realize he's a really good guy. He's had some post career success speaking to groups and helping others through Hodgkins.

I believe there's a pic out there of he and Mark Fields. I think BB introduced Andruzzi to him.

I'm hoping to read about Karl and Berry. He's been a real gem since his playing days. Some of these huge strong men are almost invincible til this hits and I figure they need someone who can relate and Karl fills that void.

Cheers to you. I love hearing stories of survival like yours. Lost my father to non-Hodgkins lymphoma 10 years ago. Was diagnosed on thanksgiving. #### cancer.

Mr Berry is in my thoughts and prayers. Here is to the survivors and the stories they live to tell!

Live Strong.
