ESPN Fantasy show (1 Viewer)

Tat

Has-been punter
I have 3 starting RB's, LJ, FWP and Chester.

The one guy on the show other than Jaworski and the gel haired guy actually said that next week's sell high candidate would be LJ, most likely b/c he will repeat what he did last week.

I am actually thinking about doing this and trying to find someone like Rudi, Tiki or another back due to the fact that the next 3 games after this week, LJ is facing some of the top DL's in the league.

Anyone else think LJ is a good sell high next week?

Sure, why not.

I've got KC has the 2nd hardest rush schedule the rest of the way through (poor Cadillac, he's got the toughest). And his playoff schedule is no picnic either, so slogging through the tough matchups isn't rewarded at season's end.

BUT, I'd absolutely have to get two quality players in return. No quality for quantity deal makes sense.

with so many teams now using 2 RBs... LJ is even more valuable becasue he's a true feature back. There is no #2 guy taking touches away from him and he's putting up very good #s.

You're gonna' move LJ for Tiki and worry about B Jacobs?

You're gonna' move LJ for Rudi even though Rudi's schedule is just as tough as LJs?

I just think this is fantasy over analysis/ over load.

Portis and WAS just put up a boatload of fantasy points on JAX (who, IMO, is the toughest defense).

Fred Taylor put up 120 total yards vs. PIT.

And you have MIA bolded as if they're a "tough matchup".

I would think that KC's newfound ability to play defense would make LJ and even tastier fantasy commodity.

I don't own LJ in any of my leagues.

Thanks to ESPN, I'm now gonna' go fishin' to see if anyone is looking to sell him because of this brutal schedule.

I saw that same show. I would actually keep LJ compared to the players you mentioned. Rudi and Tiki both have just as hard schedules and LJ does. Especially Rudi's, it's brutal. Tiki has not even scored a TD this season. I think it would be hard to trade LJ simply because you would get no value in return.

No, over analysis causes paralysis. There are tough match ups but he will get his yards and the TDs will come.Run with LJ.

Because he is facing another 49er-like defense, he will be huge again this week. After that, he will continue to disappoint those who selected him with the #1 or #2 pick.

The shark move would be to let him have another 100 yard two touchdown day this week and try to get a Tatum Bell/Plax Burress or Tiki Barber/Reggie Wayne-type trade for him. After this week, Bell and/or Tiki's performance will be very close to Johnson's. Plus, you'll get help at the receiver position.

Is that chick on there the one from Survivor that outed the NFL qb?
yup.I remember her in Survovor and hearing about how she was a beauty queen and sports caster, etc.I didn't think she was all the hot on Survivor. IIRC, she wasn't even the best looking girl on her episode of Survivor!Don't get me wrong, she looks fantastic on the ESPN show. But you've got to give a lot of credit to the makeup people and stylists.

Actually, the shrewd move might be to try to get Alexander after this week + some additional value.

Could be, but I'm sure liking the thought of having LJ versus the Oakland defense in Week 16 (which is our Championship week). I'm thinking he'll still put up enough points against the tough schedule to make him worthwhile in the meantime. Unless you can swing an amazing value for him (a Tiki level back and a Holt/Smith level WR for example) or unless you're hurting at other positions so much that you can't realistically expect to make it to the finals the way you are, I'd take my chances with him.

That's what I am thinking. My WR's are decent, with CJ, Mason, Colston, Reggie Williams, Gates and Winslow Jr. I also have CBuck and BJacobs on my bench. So, I would like to see if I could get Tiki or someone else like him along with a draft pick for next year possibly.

I had LJ as my keeper from last year, and we are not doing keepers next year, so I am seriously thinking of moving him before the next few weeks happen.

I totally agree on the sell high theory, especially if he has multiple TD's on Sunday.

I have thought about this as well, however I play in a 2 player keeper league so the value of trading him has to be weighed against his value over the next few years.
