So you guys that don't pay, does the entire page look like just this:

• RB Willis McGahee wouldn't reveal his weight, but he looked noticeably slimmer and more toned at the Bills' June minicamp than he was at the end of last season. Word is McGahee believes that carrying less weight will bring back some of the explosiveness he lacked last season. • Sources close to the Raiders indicate that WR Jerry Porter isn't the happiest camper with the way new head coach Art Shell has pushed for more discipline. Sources cite the sometimes tenuous relationship Porter had with Jon Gruden, who, like Shell, was more heavy-handed than Bill Callahan or Norv Turner. The Raiders have dangled Porter as trade bait in the past, so it wouldn't come as a complete surprise for Oakland to shop him if things don't go well early on. • Sources say Broncos QB Jake Plummer has been sharp throughout summer workouts and appears to be as confident as ever despite Jay Cutler looking over his shoulder. Though the real bullets have yet to start flying, we're hearing that Cutler looks like the real deal to this point.
And then if you want to see more stories, you have to pay?J

Thanks Guys. I was referencing a story in the email update but wanted to make sure I wasn't referencing a pay story. It was a little confusing as I thought everything that was "insider" was pay. But I see now how they're doing it. Thanks.J

One of the stories in an update from last week linked to Sporting News website that required you to pay to read it.

my brother paid like $10 for an insider account four years ago.

We both still use it.... never renewed

just cancelled my subscription.

It really annoyed me that the video on the home page would start automatically without me starting it - blaring in my PC speakers, esp at work. and the website takes way too long to load now with all of the trinkets they've added.

:end rant:

Here is a tip for insider account renewals

Usually,

If you call to cancel your account(think this is the only way also) when your subscription is due. THey will ask how to better serve you or why you didn't like it if you mentioned PRICE. They will usually drop $10 off the regular renewal free. Think I renewd for $30 this way instead of $40.

Just FYI

ESPN is likely running your brother's credit card once a year, which they can do as it's part of their terms when you sign up.

You can also get a cheap ESPN the Mag subscription and get Insider for free.

Nope. Just some sort of fluke like the stapler guy in Office Space who kept getting a paycheck.
