First off, apologies if this has been asked (im guessing it has) but after searching the forums I couldnt find anything on it so here it goes.

We are considering moving to a keepers count against the round they were selected in the previous years draft in the upcoming draft. This is a common design but I dont see an option on ESPN fantasy to account for this and I am trying to figure out how to solve for it. I assume its easy enough to ask all owners to draft a specific player in a specific round and all of those players are off limits but in the event that someone is not at the draft for a live draft, there could be issues.

Example is a 3 keeper where a team drafted (amongst others) AP in round 1, gronk in round 4 and CJ went undrafted. Those three could be off limits after declaring and the owner must pick ap in round 1, gronk in 4 and cj in the last round. It just complicates things as you march through the draft (unless declaring the keepers in advance somehow locks them out from drafting).

Appreciate any input on this and again sorry if this has been covered.

ESPN will not allow you to designate rounds for the keepers just a straight keeper which means that the 1st 3 rounds dictate the keepers.

However Fantrax does allow for that but it is available only in the Premium Commissioner version.

You could call support and see if they will pay you this year to use their Premium league which also a built-in version of "Leaguesafe" if next year you decide to stay and just charge for the software or perhaps making a money league.

ESPN does not accommodate round-based keepers, and speaking from experience, telling everyone to remember to not draft other people's keepers and to draft their keepers in the correct round is a nightmare. One guy was having internet problems and kept autodrafting other people's keepers because they were at the top of the rankings. Numerous times, people drafted someone else's keeper by mistake. One guy didn't realize until a few rounds after the fact that he forgot to pick his keeper in the correct round. Needless to say, we are drafting in person this year.

Thanks for the input. I was afraid of that so sounds like there is nothing you can do for remote based drafting.
