ESPN--->Yahoo (1 Viewer)

ESPN leagues are a total mess. Just an unmitigated disaster.

Anyone ever (or this year) made the switch the first week of the season. How easy was it to duplicate the schedule and retroactively accrue the stats from lineups set on the old league (ESPN)?

We actually tried a 'free' league in ESPN, and kept our money league in Yahoo. Yahoo has been great and easy to use for years - we left ESPN about 5 years ago (used to use for FF), and it was a complete nightmare.

Surprise surprise, second day of the season and they have problems... all ESPN fantasy content is 100% trash.

i have always used Yahoo. switched to CBS but went back to Yahoo. I could not firured out how to set my line up a week in advacne on CBS

I never understood why people didn't like Yahoo free Fantasy Leagues. They're free... and they offer customization suitable for 90+% of leagues out there. Couple that with arguably the most intuitive interface in the business and you got a winner ;)

Tampa has a viable economy.
built on the backs of transplanted Buffalonians.
who were smart enough to leave.
Just like any Toronto/Buffalo game will pretty much be a home game for the Leafs.
Been to a Sabres Leafs game over the last two years? There are certainly a decent amount of Leafs fans there, but no way would i consider it a home game for them.
well, I'm sure it's changed a little bit since the lockout, but reports I've heard said there were still plenty of Leafs fans who got in this year.

it's not really a home game for them (that was an exaggeration), but you can clearly hear the Go Leafs Go chant when the teams match up and it's much different atmosphere than a game against pretty much any other team in the league. I think Sabres fans will have a similar impact almost anywhere they play these days, but especially in Tampa or anywhere within driving distance.
No doubt there are enough Leafs fans there so you hear it when they score, but it is not near what it was 3-4 years ago.

On a side note however, my brother is pulling for a Leafs first round match-up, he is selling his tickets to the first two rounds and a series against the Leafs will drive up his profit margin quite a bit.

Yes, IMO its not as good as CBS.

What about the features/interface do you prefer. I'm curious. Features I like about Statracker:

1) Much better looking User Interface that even tells you when your hitters are on deck>

2) League Standings & Game Status at a glance (while still showing live scoring

3) Ability to swap between today's stats for your team, or any team in the league with one click

4) Everyone self containted within one flash-based window.. no waiting for new pages to load. Everything is instant

5) Ability to show league at a glance with up to date point values for each category so you know where you stand at a glance.. where you're weak..where you're strong. ALso... you can see how far off you are in a given category..again..all at a glance on one page.

6) Integrated Game Tracker with excellent live updates and various methods of accessing data including mousing over players on basepaths for live stats on them.

Again.. most of this stuff is likely available in CBS but you have to jump from page to page trying to view it. The live scoring is updated on the roster page (which is a nightmare to navigate when compared to Yahoo's great new Drag-n-Drop interface). yahoo does that too, but then raises the bar significantly with Stat-tracker.

Yahoo with Statracker  CBS Sports :lmao:

Just that I use CBS for football and am comfortable with it. I enjoy CBS game-tracker and prefer it to Yahoo.
