Every chair I buy is #### (1 Viewer)

Knoll Generation: best desk chair I've ever owned. What made it stand out over the Herman Millers when I tried them all out is that when you lean back it bends to conform with you. I went to a store to sit in the Embody and ended buying the Knoll.

For a good desk chair you need flexibility--locking upright for keyboarding or leaning with support for other work. In our facility we went with the Knoll Life chair which is a little more streamlined than the Generation. It was favored over the Herman Miller Aeron because it suited smaller and larger folks--and we even use it for dining setups. The previous choice for years was the Knoll Bulldog, a stuffed chair which kept morphing a little larger between the early '90's to early 2000's. That one was a little unwieldy compared to the streamlined Life and became more favored for executive use--though it also locks for tasking.

Interesting. I have the Herman Miller Aeron and love it. Bought it "used" in new condition and it still looks new years later. I'll have to look into the Knoll line. I hadn't heard of it before let alone in the same conversation with the Herman Millers. Thanks.
