Don’t wanna give too much away but you don’t come away feeling very good about human nature from this one.  If you’re into crime drama, it’s done similarly to Making a Murderer.

Michael Smerconish was just talking about this on his radio show. I remember when it happened. Have to put it on my list to watch.

I'm pretty upset they didn't give some kind of graphic violence warning at the beginning of this. Wasn't expecting to see what happened to Brian. That was so, so messed up.

Yeah, I was eating at the time.  Almost got sick.  Not cool.  I hate seeing stuff like that.

Thought it was very good. It wasn't as engrossing (or infuriating) as Making a Murderer but did a really good job of telling the story.

Also appreciate the warning in here about the explosion. I turned the phone away and am glad I did.

Watched it over the weekend.  Pretty good, although the arc isn't quite there and there's no distinct conclusion.

I remember seeing the pizza bomber guy on the news. Had no idea it was this crazy behind it.

No distinct conclusion?  Rothstein died on his own before they could get to him and Margorie and Kenneth Barnes where both convicted and sentenced.  The motive was to get money to pay Barnes to kill Margorie's father.  Are you talking whether Brian Wells did it willingly?  He may have been an idiot, but, not even an idiot does that willingly.  Wiki has it listed as the "Murder" of Brian Wells.  Hoopsick claims Brian had no advanced knowledge of the plan.

I'm talking about whether Marge was the driving force behind all of it.

What I don’t understand is if the fat guy in overalls didn’t want the connection made, why did he ever call and report Marjorie?

Also, they could have stopped telling us how smart that guy was right when they showed us his suicide note that said “this has nothing to do with the Wells case”. Idiot.

Well, to the people that were saying he was intelligent, he was very intelligent.  In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

I thought it was entertaining but in the end It didn’t seem all that complicated of a case to figure out. Basically it’s a four or five part miniseries about a bunch of pipe heads.

I went to college in Erie so I remembered the story in the news too but didn't realize how messed up all the people involved were.

Erie is a pretty rough city.  I was there early to mid 90's, I had gun drawn on me 3 different times.  One of my frat brothers got cut ear to ear, lucky for him it was above the chin and not below it.  I know a teacher and 2 students got shot when leaving the local college bar.  One got shot in the calf, the other the upper leg and my buddy got the worst shot in the back, it was a sawed off .22 rifle.  They had to cut him from his sternum  to below his junk to remove all the pieces.

Glad I haven't been back in 20 years.

Great side note:  The girls freshman dorm at Gannon was right across the street from the county jail.  Idiots.
