FAAB surprises (1 Viewer)

Funchess was dropped in one league, it is week 2 and one team has $23 left out of $1000 budget, one team paid $128 for Robert Kelly last week and dropped him this week, one team bid $278 for Jack Doyle and was the only bidder (ouch!), and Robert Kelly was dropped in another league after paying $178 the previous week.

I try not to blow my budget early. Being able to outbid for role/relief players in the final weeks is crucial.

You guys have anything interesting off your FAAB reports?

In a high-stakes Vegas league Tyrell Williams went for over $700 ($1,000 total).  And the owner didn't own Keenan Allen.

$100 budget, 12 team dyno, 30 man rosters

week one, one owner spent 33% on adam humphries, cj uzomah, and the raiders RB guy who broke off the big run

*not 33% total, 33% for each.... he has $1 for the remainder of the year

Tyrell went unclaimed in one of mine but Cruz went for $21 in that same league.

Kerley went for $30 in my other league but unclaimed in the first league

Was thinking 40% since no Browns fans in league and already very strong at WR.  Would likely be to trade (him or another) later in the season.

Someone in our $1000 league spent $87 for Kerley out of $100 cap. Maybe he thought we had $1000 of blind bid money.

I spent 42 of 150 on McCown. It was crazy but in a deep 16 team league there are zero starting QBs on the wire and my backups to Jameis were Goff and RG3. Also 3 other teams only had one starting QB. Scarcity is expensive.

Sharpe cost me $15 - hope it was worth it.  With DT as my only other decent WR behind Brown and Snead, I need Sharpe to be at top 36 guy.  Weird league - we have $100 FAAB, but outside of my $15, the only other bid was $10.  Seems like a league where I might not need a FAAB budget until late - just wait for free agents which are free.  Fuller went for $5...had I been smart I would have thrown $10 at him too.   Other than that just a bunch of $1 bids.

Local league here, I didn't even bother to put in a bid for Spencer Ware, because I was sure I would be outbid and I am strong at running back with Miller, Bell, Williams, Langford and Crowell. I log in Wednesday night at 11pm when FCFS open and Ware is still unclaimed. Bad part is one of the owners needs a flex player this week, they lost Allen, they have  Gronk, Ertz, Gordon and Charles not playing. Funny part is this team dropped Allen and Woods to pick up Wentz 12 dollars and Enunwa 9 dollars and didn't start him.

I bid on $43 of $100 on Williams, he has superstar potential from everything I've read and seen. Seems worth the risk. Rather bid my money on a player who could win you every week rather than saving for 3rd string running backs in week 13 who may or may not suck.

From a 12-team PPR league that drafted in early July, some jackass spent $922 out of his $1,000 for the season on Spencer Ware.

Oh wait, that was me.
