 rumblings around dawgtalk forum on clevelandbrowns.com are saying this signing and zastudil signings are fake articles....

for people that don't want to wade through that thread, its much easier to have the big signings in a title
Well, if you "wade" thru the thread, you'll see that KFFL might have jumped the gun and based their news on a webpage that can't be accessed thru the main page. :wall:

Calm down...............breath..........it's o.k., just adding link in case someone want to add some additional comments there. :banned:

Maybe so, but it still should be in separate threads so people don't have to "wade" through to find out information... :football:

I posted an article I found on the internet...it's not my information, just relaying it to the Shark Pool. You are taking this territorial thread rights a little to far... :lmao:

Brad Blank, the agent for Givens, was busy working the phones within the first 40 minutes of free agency. He said one Web-based report that Givens had signed with the Browns was incorrect. Blank planned to have a free-agent agenda set for Givens by mid-morning, reiterating that no deal had been struck with Cleveland. In fact, he said Cleveland wasn't in contention to sign Givens at this point.

So this story is now being reported as false. Can we assume that the revised news is a coverup by the NFL and the trade really did occur? We must be consistent with how we handled the Vince Young news, eh!

my guess is, the pages were pre-written just in case the signing were to happen, this way the story could be posted more quickly. What they maybe didn't plan on is someone viewing the source of the "News" page, and seeing hidden links to a Givens story..

Savage had a comment saying he'd call Blank at 12:01, Romeo would call at 12:02. Givens wants to go check out Cleveland before he decides and has issues with whether they can "win now" or not. He wanted to chat with Romeo about it.

The first weird free-agency report of the night came from Cleveland, when the team's Web site reportedly signed Patriots wide receiver David Givens and Ravens punter Dave Zastudil. The only problem was it wasn't true. Givens' agent, Brad Blank, has his client on a 7 a.m. flight to Miami to visit the Dolphins, and he almost didn't send Givens to Cleveland because of the erroneous report. Blank theorized that someone hacked into the Browns' computer, but he emphasized that no deal is done. Givens is scheduled to visit the Browns on Sunday if he doesn't sign with the Dolphins on Saturday.

(KFFL) Mike Reiss, of the Boston Globe, reports the Miami Dolphins have arranged a visit with free agent WR David Givens (Patriots) for Saturday, March 11. Apparently, earlier reports of Givens signing with the Cleveland Browns were premature.

Browns | Reports of Zastudil signing were false

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports earlier reports of the Cleveland Browns signing free agent P Dave Zastudil (Ravens) were false.

And here I thought all Browns information was memorialized in crayon ...
