Ok,
I'm NEW to Fanduel, but here is what I've done the past two weeks and have won both weeks. I'm playing 50/50 Rookie League with 100 players in them. The first week I came in 27th and this week I came in 2nd. Not bad for a new player.
Here is the way I'm doing it.
1-I listen to Fanduel radio talk on Sirius Fantasy Football station, at 5pm daily. I list some of the players they mention and get a feel for who they think will have good week.
2- I use a baseline of 130 points as a goal and I select players from Footballguys.com Fanduel rankings that meet that goal. That is an average of 14.4 per expected scoring from my lineup. I focus on WR and QB since they score a lot of points. Fanduel is 1/5 point PPR.
Here is my week #3 lineup for instance.
QB - Newton ($5 on FBG Fanduel rankings, with 20 pts expected) Scored 29.9
RB - L.Murray (#4 on FBG Fanduel rankings, with 15.3 expected) 21.4
RB - D.Woodhead (#13 FBG rankings, with 12.6 expected) 5.8
WR - J.Jones ((#2 FBG ranked, with 18.7 expected) 34.4
WR - B.Marshall (#6 FBG ranked, with 15.8 expected) 19.9
WR - L.Fitzgerald (#13 FBG ranked, with 14.1 expected) 29.9
TE - K.Rudolph (#9 FBG ranked, with 10.2 expected) 2.4
K - S Gostkowski (#1 ranked, with 11.9 expected) 17
Def - Seattle (#1 ranked, with 13.1 expected) 18
Expected Score: 131.7 (met goal)
Total scored: 178.70
My thinking when I picked this lineup. I heard on Sirius Radio that Cam Newton could have a good game. He was top 5 in FGB Fanduel ranking and a lot cheaper than the rest, so I went with him.
I used FGB RB rankings to get two high ranked #4 and #13 RB's..
I used most of my 60k on WRs and Fitz I heard was a good bet to do well.
I took the #1 Det Seattle because they were expected to do great at home
I took the #1 kicker because I could afford him.
This was my thinking. The #50th place team scored 113.8.
I'm going to try this again for week #4. I will let you know how it goes. If you have a way of picking...please share.
Cool stuff,
Jim
