I don't like Ben this week. He may do good but too many people will be chasing his past 2 performances. His price is going up and I don't think the production is going to do the same. He doesn't play as well on the road, especially against a strong defensive front like the Jets.

Hating this weeks options for the most part. Like Hill at RB for Thursday lineups, then don't like anybody else who's cheap at RB. I also hate not having Gronk as an option this week. Not sure Graham is completely back yet but have him in at the moment. I've lost trust in J Thomas since he's not getting the targets lately. Hopefully this thread will spark some discussion and bring out a few guys I'm overlooking. Sanchez is a nice option in Chip Kelly's offense. He will definitely be part of this week's plan.

Sproles or FJax if he's back

Yea, not huge on Ben.. But then again I ignored him the past two weeks and look where that got us ;)

This isn't what I plan for the FBG or double up entries.. Just my first pass of QB/WR combinations for a GPP and thought Ben + Bryant could pay off..

Was thinking of a possible GPP play of Sanchez + Maclin.. But dam, it is so hard to trust buttfumbler ;)

I'm also thinking of going with buttfumble for cheap QB in GPP.

If Weeden starts against Jax, maybe he'll have better week than last and be worth it.

Julio Jones had a huge game against Tampa early this year. I wouldn't be shocked to see him do it again.

Rolling this one out. Sunday-Monday line-up.

Matt Ryan

Justin Forsett

Bobby Rainey

Julio Jones

Jordy Nelson

Kelvin Benjamin

Martellus Bennett

Crosby

Packers D

I'm a slave to my projections when setting up a lineup and it irks me when a lineup I put together doesn't project >125

NYJ pass defense is awful.

might vomit writing this but.

Mettenburger and Hunter could a big upside gpp play

that lets you bulk up elsewhere.

ravens secondary is ehh at best. and if ravens get a lead it should be pass city for the titans

Considering the following for Thursday:

Kaep/Sanchez/Ryan

Hill/Forsett

Brown/Marshall/Benjamin/Julio/Adams

Graham/Thomas/Bennet

So the multi entry double and quintuple ups seem like no brainers. Not sure I've ever noticed them mixed in with all the single entry double and quintuple ups. For the quintuple, enter 5 (or 10) entries, and if you cash 1 (or 2) you break even. Everything else is profit. Am I missing anything here (besides being left out of the money completely)?

I'm with you. It's the kind of play that might have me frantically trying to get it changed Sunday 5 minutes before kickoff, but it does make sense.

Ding, ding, ding. This. The real problem is the Jets offense is also awful. Pitt may let up on the throttle early. That KO return by Balt was the perfect storm for Ben to get those last 2 TD passes last week. Not seeing that from the Jets.

Ben has the chance to set a virtually unbeatable NFL record this week. Once in forever opportunity. Just sayin'.

What does he need to do to set it?

Back to Back 6 TD games has already set the record... what other record would he be aiming for, e.g. 15 TDs in 3 games?

I'm comparing double ups to double ups and quintuples to quintuples. Not doubles to quintuples.

For double ups I looked at $2 and $5 contests:

44.0% of entries cash in multi.

44.8% of entries cash in single.

For quintuple ups I looked at $5 contests:

17.6% of entries cash in multi.

17.9% of entries cash in single.

Maybe I'm looking at something wrong, but this data would strongly favor playing multi entry double or quintuple ups. If the max is 10 entries, then play 5 or 10 per contest. Does it matter that super sharps can play multiple lineups making it tougher to cash? Not sure if that matters at all, a little, or alot.

I'm pretty sure you're looking at something wrong, I'm just not sure what it is. Can you explain why you think the data strongly favor these contests?

Players I like on DK this

QB: Sanchez, Big Ben

RB: Hill McCoy Rainey

WR Jordy, Julio, Marshall, Hunter(cheap option)

TE Rivera Thomas(price is cheap now and maybe he is due for a big game)

I am bothered by how many of my lineups are ending up with rookies in them. Hill, K Ben and Evans are coming up a lot.

Some interesting options this week for GPPs on Fanduel, some thoughts:

-J. Hill should be a popular play on the Thursday games and he will be in some of my line ups. But, I am also fading him on some line ups plugging in Rainey or D. Robinson in his place.

-More on Rainey.. The Falcons are awful defending the run and Sims lurking might scare some people away. But the ceiling is too in this game for Rainey to ignore at $6700.

-There is a group of WR around $6600-$6700 I love; K. Ben, R. White, M. Evans and Percy.

-Is it really possible that a healthy Julio is only $8000 vs Tampa?

-With Sanchez running the show, Jordan Matthews becomes an option for a value WR. Both have been running as back ups so they should have a lot of work together,

-P. Manning and A. Rodgers have big price tags. But that might keep ownership down on them and leave an opening for sneaky GPP play.

-It smells like about time for Cam to rip off a huge game. Prime time, versus a weak D in what should be a fast paced game, I will have a piece of that action.

-How can you not take a shot with Big Ben vs the Jets pass D coming off back to back 6 TD game? He should be very popular, so I will run a couple line ups with Ben but not A. Brown to try and backdoor a win with a highly owned QB.

-McCoy is too cheap. He is healthy, still talented and only needs to find the end zone again to be back at an elite level.

-Tight ends..blah. Bennett is a solid play this week but overall there is not much to like. Paying up for Graham might be an option since there is not much to get excited about.

It's based on value (i.e. points per dollar). Brown costs too much, relative to his projected output.

Edit: That's my assumption, at least. Maurile would have to confirm.

Ya after I posted that I realized that no the conclusion doesn't make sense.
I think it's actually the other way around... you would have a (very) slightly better chance of cashing in the single entry (due to a greater percentage of total entries that cash) as compared to the multi entry.

But, as I pointed out in the previous week thread, the cutoff score to cash may be slightly lower for the multi entry. Although the data could have been a fluke.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but how is Big Ben/Brown not on the list, but Bryant and Miller are?
Oops. Thanks. Roethlisberger-Brown is actually the #1 combo. I had a stupid error that was improperly excluding the most expensive player at each position (P.Manning. A.Brown, J.Graham). I'll post the new list in a second.

Or the projected output for Brown is too low. It's hard to say without the projections.
Projections are shown on the value charts. They'll be different later, but for right now they're the same ones used to create the lists I just posted.

Well that's why I said he "costs too much, relative to his projected output." Saying his projected output is too low for his price is basically the same as saying his price is too high for his projections. His price is fixed, so obviously if you use different projections you'll get a different list of the best values.

i like J Thomas at $200 cheaper. against the raiders

plus i think manning had said it was his fault last game that Julius didnt get the touches he deserved... or something to that effect

makes me think he will be targeted heavily this week

Thoughts on Graham this week? Is he worth $7.5K?
Word out of Rotoworld yesterday was that he was a full participant in practice and could play a full load of snaps this weekend.

As someone who owns him in both leagues and has him going on DK as well, I sure hope so!

I only play on DK so I'm not up on FD prices, but either way I think he's a great play this week. With Gronk out and Thomas not getting many looks the last few weeks, he seems like easily the best option to put up big points. I think he's gonna be worth the price.
