Does anyone know if FanDuel is pretty good about issuing tickets in a timely manner?

I got an email the other day that said to enter a $2 NBA contest and get a $5 ticket to the NFL Rush.

I figured what the heck, it's like getting into a $5 contest for $2, so why not.

Supposed to be issued sometime today but I don't see any ticket anywhere.

(as an added bonus, I know nothing about NBA and plugged in random players and still placed in the touney and won $5 :) )
Just got my ticket.
Yep. Just saw that they put a lineup into the contest for me. :hifive:

Josh Gordon will be worth every penny this week! Greg Toler can't cover his own mouth, let alone this stud.
Is Davis out?
Yes, he's out.
:tebow:

I'm all in on Gordon then...
yeah I think I am going to try to get Gordon in all my lineups
Yeah, you and likely 60-70% of FanDuel.
I'm thinking about removing Gordon for this very reason. Really don't wanna do it since I could see him being WR1 this week but with so much high-quality options at WR I might try to avoid the majority play here.

In tourneys there's some validity to this but in 50/50 and double up this is exactly the kind of player you are looking for.

Nice work.

I wonder if I just deleted the email. Did it sound like an email that was spammed by Fanduel to everyone? What day did you get it? I want to ask my NBA buddy if he caught it.

And if you don't mind...please post things like this in the future!

The title of the email was....Your free $500k NFL Rush ticket

Was sent yesterday afternoon and good for last nights contest...had to follow the link in the email to get the deal.

I'll give a heads up if I get another good offer

Hey GB Chad Parsons... where is the Optimal Lineup using the Efficiency Model in this weeks "Playing the Percentages" article?

I think it was just a one time thing to get more Pitt-NO players into the lineups last week. I don't know that there's a clear shoot-out game this week (other than what we had last night).

This is my first week getting my feet wet doing some 50/50's just wondering what thoughts are on this:

Eli

CJ Anderson

Gore

Antonio brown

Lafell

Tate

Reed, Dawson Broncos
IMO not a huge fan of Eli given his floor.
I'm not sure QBs facing the Titans have an actual floor, at least not in the traditional sense. It's more of a "head level".

Not going to copy-and-paste the Gordon stuff for size purposes, but aren't there several guys in his price range just as attractive and not reliant on Brian Hoyer to throw them the football? I get that his matchup is great, but if Hoyer matches his total TD production from the last 4 weeks he'll have 1 TD pass. It's not like the guy is going to totally transform himself.

From my perspective, it seems that if you think Gordon must be rostered at $8000 you might as well stack him w/ Hoyer @ $6700 because you're really betting on Hoyer as much as Gordon.

Anyone else get in on the huge overlays on Fantasy Up for Thursday?
Totally missed it. I typically don't play Thursdays because I don't get around to creating lineups and entering teams until the weekend. :kicksrock:

It looks like there will be some good overlays there on Sunday as well, though. I see a bunch of guaranteed contests that are less than 1/3 full right now.

LeVeon Bell is the new DeMarco Murray.
I hope so. Built my Thursday cash lineups around both.
I've got LeVeon Bell projected for 97% of the Steelers' RB touches this week. Blount is gone, Drai Archer gets about one touch per game, and Will Johnson is used even less than Archer is.

Matt Forte is the closest thing to Bell in terms of not having any competition; KaDeem Carey gets 3-4 touches a game, and Senorise Perry gets one touch every 12 games, apparently.

In Dallas, Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar generally combine for about 5-6 touches a game, more or less, and Tyler Clutts gets one touch every 12 games.

After that, no other team is really all that close in terms of how few touches the backup RBs get.

I previously had Manziel in all my Sunday leagues. Once Hoyer was announced the starter, I went back to switched things up.

TEAM A

QB - B. Hoyer ($6700)

RB - J. Bell ($6800)

RB - F. Gore ($5700)

WR - J. Nelson ($8900)

WR - J. Gordon ($8000)

WR - D. Hopkins ($7500)

TE - J. Graham ($7100)

K - R. Succop ($4500)

DEF - Denver ($4700)

TEAM B

QB - B. Hoyer ($6700)

RB - E. Lacy ($8500)

RB - F. Gore ($5700)

WR - J. Jones ($8700)

WR - J. Gordon ($8000)

WR - D. Moncrief ($6000)

TE - J. Graham ($7100)

K - R. Succop ($4500)

DEF - Denver ($4700)

Not sure I'd play Hoyer this week.. His leash is VERY short... if he doesn't produce early on I wouldn't be surprised at all if Manziel is playing the 2nd half.

Go to Fanduel and see if you have a default lineup already entered in the contest.

Hard to tell, I already had multiple lineups in that contest, no unusual lineups though. I would have thought they would send me a ticket for the contest like the E-mail states.

I was looking for a ticket as well but it turns out they auto enter me with a default lineup which I then edited.

Send an email to support if you didn't get entered yet.

Working on my Sunday lineups today and seems like I keep ending up with the following plays:

QB = Rodgers - trying to get him as heavily involved as possible because he's not available in Sunday only or 1pm only. Sunday only I'm featuring Wilson. 1pm only featuring Cam/Brees.

RB = Lacy, Anderson, Stewart (plus smaller amounts on Forsett and Crowell but both questionable)

WR = Gordon, Stills, Charles Johnson, Boldin, Nelson

TE = Gates, Reed, Walker (plus smaller amounts on Gronk and Graham)

K = Graham, Barth

Def = Titans, Vikings, Lions

Seems like for cash games the Rodgers-Lacy stack is very expensive but seems like the safest play of the week.

What do people think about Charles Johnson vs. Hawkins vs. Colston vs. Baldwin?

Throw out Baldwin and add in Woods. Four $6K Players that I'm not 100% sure where to go. Think I'm leaning Colston and Woods but will likely use some Johnson as well. I like Hawkins, but I'm heavily invested in Gordon.

Did the same thing last week. Won $5 in the NBA contest too. I didn't ever see a ticket but did see their entry for me.

Yeah I feel the same about Colston since I'm heavily invested in Stills. Johnson has an awesome matchup... haven't gotten Woods involved yet.

I am having trouble making my second lineup for the 5050's. Someone help me out AJ Green, or Beckham, Stewart or Gore?

Possible healthy scratch for West. Just trying to flesh this out, but I'm thinking....Crowell is in, West will scratch, Glenn gets West's carries.....Crowell is out, Glenn will carry load with West active (maybe 70-30 split). I don't think Droughns (sp?) factors in this week.

Mary Kay Cabot@MaryKayCabot 22h22 hours ago
#browns pettine said "there's a chance" Terrance west won't be active vs colts because of fumbling, but he's responded well this week.

Can someone explain overlays again. And how can you tell when they are there?
An overlay occurs in a GPP ("guaranteed prize pool") when the guarantee prize pool exceeds the total amount paid by participants.Take the Sunday $500,000 Rush. There is $500,000 in payout. Right now there are ~ 75,000 signed up. That's ~ $375,000 paid, so there is an overlay of $125,000. These things fill up fast at the 11tg hour as guys jump on them, so it's a fluid situation.

You can't see the lineup until the game is live
Well that will explain it, thanks, I assume when the games start I go to the LIVE tab?
Correct. Once the games go live you can't edit any part of your lineup either, even if they don't play until Monday.

I did not realize this. Hopefully Jennings is out since I used Williams in a few lineups.

Went pretty heavy on lineups with Gordon, Stills, Hawkins and Wallace. Lacy in quite a few as well.

I'm with you on this. Was more excited about Manziel, but I like Hoyer a lot as well (esp. for tourneys).

He is super cheap on DK and that game sets up as a potential shootout IMO. I believe it is the highest O/U for a home game in Cleveland in around 20 years (read that somewhere but can't re-find the source).

I will continue to tinker based mainly upon RB injury updates, but for now, this is my GPP lineup on Draft Kings:

Hoyer

Blount

J. Stew

Gordon

Evans

Cobb

Graham

M. Wallace

Pats

I might throw Hoyer in one GPP, his ownership will be low and if he starts off good he could get the whole game. I wouldn't touch him in 5050

i wouldn't even consider Hoyer this week on the off chance he gets pulled at some point.
I totally agree in cash games.

In tournaments, I think he's worth the risk. In a tournament, you really need your QB to have a good to very good game -- or at worst, mediocre. There's not really much of a difference between bad and horrible. If he gets benched, it means he was having a bad game anyway. The benching itself, given the bad game beforehand, is unlikely to matter. The most it will do is turn bad into horrible, but at that point, who cares?

I built around Bridgewater for my Thursday contests, which allowed me to go with Murray and Leveon for my RBs. I feel pretty good about those entries. I don't necessarily want to build one of my 3 Sunday cash lineups around Bridgewater again though since I'm not that big a fan of him.

I'm pretty much committed to going with Hill in at least one of my cash game lineups. He saves so much money that, along with my new-found commitment to frugality at TE, I can really do good things at RB and WR. It's tough to give that extra salary up once you've played with it.

I also have a lineup built around Rodgers, but he's so damn expensive and Atlanta is so bad against the run. I think teams have come around to realizing that they need to be able to pound the ball a bit if they intend to make a playoff run -- we're seeing it more in NE and Denver, and those are usually the trend-setters. I suspect GB will be able to work on the running attack some in what may be a semi-controlled scrimmage in the 2nd half.

I'm bouncing around between Ryan, Stafford, and Eli for my other lineup(s). I like them all about the same, which means I probably don't really like any of them all that much. I love all 3 match-ups and game scripts, but each guy is capable of a breathtaking turd too. Eli is a train wreck, but I think the Titans are going to be completely and utterly helpless trying to cover Beckham. I also think the Giants' running attack is in a bit of a mess. I can see the Titans scoring some points too. All of that coupled with the fact that the Titans just allowed Fitzfreakingpatrick pass for 6 TDs effortlessly makes me think a big day is in the offing. Ryan has been incredibly inconsistent, but the running game in Atlanta is non-existent and they seemed to get into a flow somewhat last week. GB can choose its method of scoring at will, so I think Ryan may have 45 attempts. Even if he struggles, that should be 275 and 2 at the very least. Who knows what Stafford will do exactly, but I have to think Tate and Calvin will be open on nearly every single play. And Detroit isn't going to be able to run the ball -- it seems like their running game is mostly short passing.

The biggest negative for the 3 is that they are Ryan, Stafford, and Eli.

Can anyone talk into or out of one or more of those guys? I'm really needing some input to help me with my selection process. Thank you in advance.

I'm running out cash lineups with Rogers, Brees, Tannehill and Hill. GPP lineups have Hill, Hoyer and Eli...
