Doing a Thursday contest but not entering any Thurs players

Ivory

Alshon

Moncrief

ODB

Colts
I will be entering quite a few Thurs contest because of the fade. Thurs game looks like a snooze fest and if quite a few people pump the Thurs players like they normally do we could have a good head start not playing anyone. I may play Stl defense in a couple lineups but not sure on that yet.
I'll have STL D in a bunch of lineups and that's it. Last Thurs I put in Andre Williams and JStew in 90% of my Thurs lineups including tournaments. Needless to say it worried me a bit Sunday morning, but was the right call. Had another huge week even with Josh Gordon in 100% of my lineups.

M. Wilson and Moncrief might be in 99% of my lineups if Wayne is out. A stack of Eli/Donnell hit big last time I played them vs. the Deadskins, might go Eli/ODB this time around. Thinking JFF in 50/50's, but not sure of his GPP appeal. Latavius Murray is real cheap as well and is getting the majority of snaps.

I might run out a Ivory/CJ1k tandem lineup in a GPP just for fun. If they take the same approach vs. Titans like they did vs. Miami, they each might have 200 yds.

How are you guys liking this DraftKings line-up?

QB: Matt Ryan

RB: Justin Forsett

RB: McCoy

WR: Mike Evans

WR: Maclin

WR: Steve Smith

TE: Gates

FLEX: Latavius Murray

DEF: Seahawks

Remaining salary: 0

Skeptical to put it Evans because of the panthers blow out this week, but he's consistent. How do you guys feel about Steve Smith against Jacksonville?

(HULK), I signed up using your referral link.

Here's my link in case anybody wants to sign up for Fantasy Draft. It was discussed a little in last week's thread. Basically a newer site with some good overlays.

I'm throwing this lineup into a $2 Thursday GPP... what the heck.

D. Anderson

J. Starks, K. Davis

A. Brown, OBJ, TY. Hilton

Gronk

J. Tucker

B. Ravens D

FYI, I deposited $100 on Sunday. Site then wouldn't work. The money is not in my account and support hasn't responded from my e-mail after 24h.

Edit: Looking at my account there is no information except my e-mail address, which is weird. You can't have spaces in your city name either apparently, wth? Not even getting verification e-mails from them. I tried changing my e-mail address to others I don't use, said they already exist in the system, lol.

McCoy has to be an accidental ommission? He went for 160 and a TD two weeks ago against the Cowboys, and he will be the focal point yet again after a confidence-shaking outing by Sanchez last week.

Is it just me or does it feel like there's a Sanchez implosion coming? I'm not sure Dallas's secondary is capable of making it happen this week, but I think it's coming. I agree that McCoy will become a bigger focus of the Philly offense moving forward.

McCoy comes out 19 on my formula. I base my rankings off the previous 4 weeks. I then factor in matchup strength and even factor in H-Value. This gives me a good starting point and IMO helps me identify more consistent players. The H-Value would help identify someone who has a high projection, but I still tend to use players pretty far down my list that I feel are due for breakout performances. I'll post my revised lists this morning.

Blake Bortles vs the getting-more-putrid-every-week Baltimore secondary? Jacksonville won't be able to run, so shouldn't they just pass all day long? Even 1 TD makes him a decent value at his price.

I love SSS this week. Torrey Smith is likely out and the Ravens know they have to get SSS involved. 100yds + a TD should be the over/under.

Running some Stacks and found a few that look pretty good:

Derek Anderson
LeVeon Bell
Matt Forte
Marquess Wilson
Odell Beckham Jr
Kelvin Benjamin
Mychal Rivera
Connor Barth
Seattle Seahawks

Matt Ryan
C.J. Anderson
Fred Jackson
Julio Jones
Dez Bryant
Marquess Wilson
Martellus Bennett

Kansas City Chiefs

Matthew Stafford

and one non-stack that also, on paper using cheap QB Anderson looks decent:

Jamaal Charles
Marquess Wilson
Odell Beckham Jr
DeAndre Hopkins
Martellus Bennett
Connor Barth
Kansas City Chiefs

Thoughts??

These are the weeks that freak me out. The lineups are coming together almost too well. I feel like there could be a monster scoring week and I gotta make sure I'm hitched up to the right horses.

:goodposting: Hopefully Cam is ok and comes back, but this was looking like a good week for a couple cheaper QBs already and now with Anderson starting you can stack your roster with some higher players but you have to make sure you hit the right ones.

I'd be careful with Jamaal Charles(knee swelling and ankle issue). If he were to not go Knile Davis will be golden, but I'm afraid this may be a murky situation this week even if he plays.

No doubt.

I am putting some pretty solid lineups together, with some studs and matchup plays, that look too good to be true:

Anderson vs Tampa

Bell vs Atlanta

Forsett vs Jax

OBJ vs Washington

Benjamin vs Tampa

Matthews vs Dallas

Reed vs Giants (love him this week with Djax likely out)

Barth (really? $4700??)

Titans vs Eli

True.. He and Julio are on my "watch to see" list... I don't enter Thursday lineups so have time :)

If you enter Julio and Knile in Thursday games and they do end up going, you could be looking at a nice low owned %. Just a thought.

This one is decent, but I'd replace Reggie Wayne.. He has lost a step or two, even since the beginning of the year.. Luck is more likely to hit Allen, Flenner or even Donte Moncrief before Wayne now..

I will probably use a lot of Chris Johnson this week in a revenge game against TEN (also helps that they are one of the worst run defenses in the league)

Don't focus much on the "revenge" angle. The players in Tenn all really liked and respected CJ0.75K. There was absolutely no bad blood at all. Everyone, including CJ, knew they couldn't pay him under his contract.

The horribleness of the Titan defense can't be overstated tho. My concern is whether the Jets staff will be willing to rotate a back out (Ivory) who is gashing the defense for about 6.5 per carry.

Wish I had remembered to play Percy against the Vikes. Thanks for reminding me of this. Some players are really that petty that they'll play out of their minds against an old team. CJ is such a person imo.

The horribleness of the Titan defense can't be overstated tho. My concern is whether the Jets staff will be willing to rotate a back out (Ivory) who is gashing the defense for about 6.5 per carry.
CJ and Ivory have basically split snaps and touches the last several weeks... I may go so far as to play both of them in the same GPP lineup. They are cheap and could both hit value and leave $$ left for high priced WR

How is it a revenge game for the Jets?
Chris Johnson released by Titans last year. As I note above, however, I think this is just a fan perception. Titans players and CJ have been pretty effusive with praise back and forth.
What's more important is that the Titans rush D sucks, the Jets will want to run it until their backs collapse, and CJ is getting as many carries as he has all year.

Very true. I personally think the script isn't going to play out w/ much scoring on either side tho. It's not like the Titans are going to game plan much for Geno's downfield passing. What Jet WR is even 70% of ODB?

I think predicting what will happen in this game is nigh impossible. I do believe Rex has every intention of winning a game before he leaves, and insuring Mariota doesn't arrive on his way out the door, so I think he'll pull out all the stops.

I have a lot of Derek Anderson in line-ups like everyone else but I'm trying to come up with some stacks here... any advice?

1

QB Eli Manning

RB Jamaal Charles

RB Fred Jackson

WR Demaryius Thomas

WR Odell Beckham Jr.
WR Marquess Wilson

TE Delanie Walker
K Cairo Santos

D Kansas City Chiefs

2

QB Jake Locker

RB Le'Veon Bell

RB Fred Jackson

WR Demaryius Thomas

WR Odell Beckham Jr.

WR Marquess Wilson

TE Delanie Walker

K Justin Tucker

D Carolina Panthers

I'd stay away from Wayne, TWright, Asiata, MBrown, Hurns and Lee... but that's just me
Lee might be a good play, but the rest I agree with. I'd even include Colston.
Agree 100%.

Lee and Colston in cash, not so much in GPP
What does GPP stand for?
GPP are the contests with the big prizes. Lots of entries, only the top 10% cash. What that means is you have to swing for the fences, take some chances. Whenever you look at the winning lineup, you always think," wow, how did he ever choose that guy??"

Cash games are less sexy, but in 50/50 contests, you only need to finish in the top half to cash. $9 for $5, etc.

Check the general DFS thread for strategy.

Gotcha. Technically, that's not even the definition of a "revenge" game....a revenge game is when one team beats another, and the loser hopes to exact revenge. This coming Sunday night is a "revenge" game for the Cowboys, so Romo (who looked pretty lousy on Thanksgiving) may have extra incentive to play well.

But I get what he was trying to say....and as others have said, don't really agree with it anyway. I don't think CJ wants to 'stick-it' to the Titans in any way/shape/form. He left amicably., and was well liked and respected by coaches and teammates. he may do well by default against a lousy rush defense, but he doesn't need any extra motivation. And with Ryan coaching for some level of credibility, I doubt he alters the rep rotation just to give CJ extra carries when he has a guy in Ivory who is gouging lousy defenses.

Just my two cents.
