martellus bennett-he was the best fill in i found.. hes hasnt been on but still managed 7 rec for 69 yrds last week

forsett-atl def is horrible

seahawks

its just a quarter right?

P. Manning needs 3 tds to break the all-time record. He's playing at home on Sunday night. He's going to throw 3tds. Not sure I can avoid using him everywhere.

Meh. I used a lot of Broncos WRs this week but I think it's very rarely worth it to pay that much for a QB. You can find a QB for thousands less that will give comparable results.

I can only think of 1 time I paid big for a QB and didn't regret it. In PPR format they're just not worth that much of your budget, imo.

I'm the opposite actually - I only play 50/50s but a sure thing at QB puts you in a great spot to cash almost every time.

Different strokes.

Instead of "everywhere" I should have specified non-gpp. Bargain QBs have absolutely killed me so far this year.

Yeah. I'm in the camp that dislikes the bargain QB. Play Eli or cousins or locker on the wrong week and manning starts to look good at any price.

Same here. I crushed it picking bargain QBs last year, but this year they are crushing me. Manning and Luck seem good at any price if you can guess the bargain RBs correctly.

No one would take the time to put in all those no name players to go back later. They would have to scroll down to the bottom of every list to do that. They could just throw in scrubs if this was the case.
I do that when I just want to enter a contest so I don't have to fiddle around with the cap. You can do it from the "All Players" list... scroll way down, add, add, add, then enter. Then as game day approaches I'll go in and put my roster together.

It seems to me that Edelman and LaFell are decent GPP plays for Thursday games. Obviously Edelman is the safer play, but LaFell is cheap. Any thoughts on this? I'm kicking around entering a couple cheapie massive GPPs w/ each just to see what happens. Jets can't cover anyone and NE's not going to be able to run.
I like Lafell, Brady and the Pats D on fanduel this week. It might feel like chasing points with Lafell, but he and Brady could be starting to click.

I'm also betting on another Thursday night blowout because the Jets still look bad.

It's nice to have dependable QB production, but the point variance between the top 10 QBs in any given week makes it hard to justify spending the money on Peyton.

I haven't yet been able to bring myself to spend top dollar for a QB.

Then again, I'm down about $450 this year, so make of that what you will!

Not sure on Brady with the weather, but I'm running a few GPPs w/ LaFell. At his price you don't need another 20+ performance to get value.

I'm also throwing Gronk in a couple too just because. I do like the NE defense if the weather is bad.

So Dodds posted on his blog about the $10 double up that starts tonight and I found this comment interesting;

Besides getting percent owned from a wide range of people playing (This is suppose to go away in a few weeks, but extremely valuable information until then),
Does anyone know anything about this? This would make a big difference if they stopped showing pct owned.

FanDuel planned to hide your opponents' unplayed players entering this season, but fell behind when other higher-priority things presented themselves.

The next intended date was Week #4 of the NFL season, but the site crash in Week #2 again rearranged priorities.

Nigel Eccles publicly stated that the new anticipated date for blinding your opponents' players (until game time) will be next week (Week #8). That date is referenced at the bottom of this page: https://rotogrinders.com/threads/My_name_is_Nigel_Eccles_CEO_of_FanDuel_Ask_Me_Anything-381899?page=2

So, yes, expect it--it IS going to happen.

That said, a few fellow FBG staffers are tweaking an algorithm that is fairly accurate in predicting percentage-owned from week to week! ...it is forthcoming, but that is all I can say for now. ;)

I put in junk entries as well, just to get in and then go back later and put the lineup together. Sucks but I actually lost a couple of lineups tonight doing that. It was only $4 worth of lineups but sucks to just throw money away. I have to stop waiting till the last minute.

I did get in a couple of Thursday entries in time...felt like this was a great night to fade.

I like a lot of middle/lower WR's this week.

Sanu, Tate, Welker, Shorts, Fitz

Like some stud RB's

Bell, Forte, Murray...

think maybe Morris can bounce back this week

maybe Ellington will have a breakout week

Like V Davis to maybe get going at TE this week

Maybe Donnell bounces back

Good luck everyone

Guys I like this week

QB: Hoyer, Cousins, Cutler, Wilson, Big Ben, Rodgers if wanting to spend $

RB: J Forsett, D Murray, L Bell, B Tate, L Miller, A Morris, R Bush in a revenge game

WR: James Jones, G Tate, A Brown, B Marshall, J Nelson, M Floyd, M Colston, M Wheaton, D Baldwin if you want someone real cheap

TE: J Reed, L Donnell, really like V Davis for his price

K: Crosby, Gould, Cundiff, Bullock

DEF: Bills*, Seahawks, Ravens, Browns*, Bears

ultimately, the line-up I like most for FanDuel:

Big Ben

D Murray

A Morris

A Brown

M Floyd

M Colston

V Davis

M Crosby

Cowboys

Liking Arian Foster vs the Steelers this week...very soft up the middle.

Forsett should have a field day vs the falcons...just gotta hope Pierce doesn't steal all the TDs from him.

Forsett is definitely a good play but he has the possibility of getting his TD's vultured from Pierce and even Lorenzo.

Wonder how many people had Harvin locked in a Thursday lineup.
Only just over 3% in a Thursday GPP.

I did have him as a boom or bust in one of my Sunday lineups but will obviously be swapping him out.

My GPP lineup this week:

Kaepernick vs Denver: SF will need to keep up in this one.

Charles vs SD: they'll use their workhorse in this divisional must-win game for the 2-3 Chiefs

Forsett vs ATL: for the reasons many have stated earlier

Crabtree vs DEN: see above, love this stack this week; Crabby is due for a bid game

A. Brown vs HOU: plain old money every week

Beckham vs NYG: price was right at $6200; and the fact is, dallas isn't as good as last week, and the Giants aren't as bad as they were, either.

Reed vs TEN: my TE play of the week; a steal at $5400

Prater vs NO: Hoping the Lions continue to struggle to put the ball in the endzone

Browns vs JAX: 'nuff said

FantasyDraft is a new daily site backed by a bunch of poker pros. It's in beta right now, so it's just play money, but I've added it to the suite of value charts.

Players I like this week

QB. Wilson Kaepernick Palmer

RB. Miller Forsett Hillman Foster

WR. Steve Smith Tate Sanu DT Beckham Michael Floyd

TE. Reed Kelce Thomas

Defense. Buffalo

Fanduel Week 7 Lineup

Peyton 10k

Andre Ellington $7100

Isiaha Crowell $5300

Steve Smith Sr $7700

Mohammad Sanu $7200

Emmanuel Sanders $7800 - stacked w/ Peyton

Jordan Reed $5400

Chiefs K Santos $4500

Buf D (home against Minn) $5000

No salary remaining

I posted my value plays and a couple of lineups here.

I don't know why, but something tells me Eli Manning is going to have a nice day. Good luck to all FBG's today. :)

Heavily invested in J. Reed this week. Hard not to play him at that cost. Mixed in Cameron slightly. My value WR of the week is Kearse...just depends if I picked right. Besides James Jones and Colston being in one lineup each, the rest of my WRs are >6700.

Think I split about 50/50 between Cameron and Reed. Thomas may be big this week but the value of the other 2 is better IMO.

Anyone like Jermaine Gresham as a cheap option? had 6 catches for 68 yards last week and is the #2 receiving option unless you count Gio.

It is a long shot, but that is what GPPs are so I threw together a last minute lineup with Graham saying he will play:

QB Drew Brees$9,100NO@DET␡

RB Giovani Bernard$8,900CIN@IND␡
RB Alfred Morris$7,200TEN@WAS␡
WR Marques Colston$5,500NO@DET␡
WR Jermaine Kearse$5,000SEA@STL␡
WR Kelvin BenjaminQ$6,700CAR@GB␡
TE Jimmy GrahamP$7,800NO@DET␡
K Cairo Santos$4,500KC@SD␡
D Seattle

I figure not very many people will be on Graham or Bejamin and it is only $1 so just like a lottery ticket.

I started Brees and Colston as well.

Got Palmer, Forsett and Jordan Reed in a lot of my lineups. Got studs like Demarco Murray, Antonio Brown and Jordy Nelson spread throughout most of them.

Two questions:

Steve Smith or Brandon Marshall?

Golden Tate or Kelvin Benjiman?

I'm leaning towards Marshall and Tate

i like tate as well.

This is a reminder to myself as much as anyone: remember to take advantage of the late swap at DraftKings.

I entered a Thursday lineup this week without any Thursday players. By habit, I'm used to ignoring my Thursday lineups after Thursday's kickoff. But on DraftKings, you can edit your lineup after your contest starts -- the only players that are locked are the ones whose games have already started.

So this morning I was free to create a whole new Thursday lineup from scratch using Sunday morning projections. I have to think that a lot of people fail to make Sunday morning adjustments to their Thursday lineups, which gives an advantage to people who do so.

Love this strategy in large double/triple up games over there. Any 2-3% advantage can pay big over the long term.
