Did anybody else pre-register for the total points tourney ($25) for weeks 11-17?

I just got notified that I got one of the 128 slots! Cool...I love that my $25 will go for 7 weeks!

Let me know if any of you also get selected (it's supposed to be random).

Will be a great move if he can get you 15-20 ptsHe showed some ability but I'm not a believer after seeing his mini-melt down in the 4th quarter last week. Good luck!

You guys starting Foles have some cajones. I'm almost tempted to start WAS defense against him.

When I choose a player, I basically want to get 2 to 2.5 points for every $1000 spent on that player...if you can do this for every guy on your roster, you will end up with 120-150 points, which is good enough to win in most 50/50 leagues.With that in mind, Nick Foles only has to get 10.6 to 13.3 points to meet that standard...that's 200 yards passing and just one touchdown. I think this is very, very conservative against that Washington defense.

Sampling was pretty painful to do. Not sure I will be able to do this every week. I only included my roster once, screened for multiple entries and screen for players that have big winnings. I ended up with 49 unique rosters before giving up. Here are the results:

Just wanted to say thanks for going the extra mile by separating the nickel/dime players from the big boys in this analysis--I do think it's the best way to do this type of analysis, although I'm sure it was tedious.

I am in the bracket h2h, gotta win 3 weeks to cash but looks fun. Hopefully I last longer than week 1, I actually love my lineup, hope thats not the kiss of death.The good news from Thursday night games is I had Lindel in about 30 lineups, the bad is I had CJ in about another 20, not that 14ish points is horrible but a TD woulda really caped it off.On a side note, I have now played in 3 NBA 50/50's and gotten last place or 2nd to last all 3 times....

I signed up for both the bracket tournament & the points one. I received an email & was accepted into the bracket tournament but haven't heard about the points one yet so I'm assuming it's a no go.

Back to the topic at hand...When building my fanduel lineups I (like probably a lot of you) decide on a core group of players I want to use in most, if not all lineups then mix & match several other players with them. My question is, for those that do this how many different QB's do you usually alternate in, if any? Or if you find a guy you like is that one of the positions you like to stick with in the core group for all lineups?

At this point why would you choose any TE over Graham? He's been by far the most consistent and explosive TE recently in a strict passing offense.

I am absolutely done with thursday games and Aaron Hernandez. How I keep thinking this guy will be back and continue to get locked in to a zero is beyond me. I'm a smart guy that continues to do stupid things. That is 80 dollars that I just flushed if he doesn't go tomorrow.

I stay away from the Thursday-Sunday games. The only Thursday I touch is the primetime games-SNF/MNF/TNF game but hardly ever take anyone in the thursday game

This is what I'm going with this week. I've take a strategy of using one lineup the past 3 weeks and have done well.

QB Carson Palmer – I was going with Luck but the herd has convinced me.

RB Doug Martin

RB Steven Jackson – I like the matchup at home.

WR Denarius Moore - I typically have a WR/QB hookup each week. Moore gets 8-10 looks a game. Against this D, that could mean 100+ easily.

WR Steve Smith – this is the one player I'm hesitant about but the matchup seems right and I can't bring myself to go Amendola.

WR Demaryius Thomas - 6/100 and TD is a pretty solid bet.

TE Jimmy Graham - Can't argue with this pick.

K Connor Barth

D Houston Texans

In 50/50's I agree with you. In large field tourneys you need to go against the grain. The more uniqueness you have the better..

I disagree. In my experience, a good lineup is a good lineup. In the last 2 weeks since I've switched to a one lineup format, I've grossed $273 on $78 in entry fees and been in the money in 7 of 9 leagues. Before that, I was hit and miss, usually ending up pissed that I was winning the 50/50 league with the conservative lineup and losing money in the 2500 player mega leagues with more speculative plays. Now, I'm doing this for fun and not taking any serious analysis to the effect of betting or rake, etc. but I've been playing with house money since week one. more than doubled my money week one, cashed out my deposit and kept rolling.

The issue is that if you play in the thursday league your roster is locked on thursday. Any injuries or no goes and you are screwed. Who would believe Hernandez would still not be able to go? I honestly believe it's a Bellichek thing.

1) Danario is playing @DEN- I don't really like any receiving option on SD other than Gates (TEs do well vs DEN).2) Alex Smith looks like he could be OK to start vs. CHI. If Cutler doesn't play, I don't like CHI D as much this week.

On the bright side (sorta), there's no difference between being just out of the money and finishing last. No money is no money, so you're no worse off than if you were tinkering and finishing much better, but still not good enough.But I see the logic in swinging for the fences. When I play tournaments, I play weird lineups and almost always finish last. But the one time I didn't...I won it. That will pay for all my last place finishes the rest of the year (small stakes player).

Looking like I have a good chance of sweeping my 50/50s this week. Actually scored more in the expert leagues than the standard leagues. Despite Foles holding me back, leveraged Doods rankings to the max with excellent results. Reece, Myers, S. Graham, Alexander all did well. My best move worked out in reverse. First week I didn't start Foster in any leagues. Thought Houston would blow them out early and Foster would be playing a full game.

1) Danario is playing @DEN- I don't really like any receiving option on SD other than Gates (TEs do well vs DEN).2) Alex Smith looks like he could be OK to start vs. CHI. If Cutler doesn't play, I don't like CHI D as much this week.

I'm not alone in thinking his 2nd TD wasn't a completed catch. 6 of his 7 grabs came with 7 mins left, down more than two scores (and he was literally the only guy targetted for the last drive). If you rolled the dice, more power to you, but it seemed risky on paper.Defenses were brutal this week- HOU was considered a slam dunk, and STL was considered a strong sleeper, and both were disappointments. We'll see how that bodes for CHI/SF tonight.

If his final stat line was 3 catches for 30 yards and a TD I would be happy, right? Considering what he cost, it was totally worth it regardless of the rest of the points he got. He was the #1 target in the offense and River's trusts him.I think Chicago vs Kaepernick is a great matchup. I would have thought that no matter how the rest of the games went

Went with Moore & Gates in nearly all of my lineups. Tough to recover from that.

Will likely lose all or most of my Sun/Mon lineups & Thursday start contests. Primetime matchups may be able to bail me out, but it would take hitting in some of the 100/250 contests. Thankfully I wasn't able to fit Gronk into a lineup I liked, so I've got a leg up there.

Weeks like this are why I play this hobby for small stakes. Losing a big chunk of $$ would have me .
