If you have heard about it, or even if you have not, the Fantasy Football Open Championship is now taking sign-ups.

Entry is $125, and the winner gets $1,000,000. There are 10-team leagues, and the winner of each league receives $250 and goes into the running for the million.

You will likely be hearing about it quite a bit in the near future :goodposting:

How exactly is the 1 million dollar prize guaranteed? Is somebody underwriting you? ;) After reading the AFFL thread, I have to ask.

I definitely understand your concern. The money is placed in escrow, and the top 15 players receive an all expense paid trip to Vegas in Week 16 and will receive their prizes via check at the live event when the final places are decided following the Monday Night game. You can learn more about the people behind the contest here: http://www.ffoc.com/aboutus.php

Fair enough.

However - certain folks CANNOT play - like us living in MD - see answer to me email below when I tried to register and found I could not:

Jim,

Thank you for the email. Although Fanball/CDM presently does not restrict participation for prizes in any U.S. states nor any Canadian providences for games that are solely operated for Fanball/CDM, for games that are operated for third-party clients, it is their decision as to whether or not to restrict participation based on their interpretation of the law. In this case, the client has chosen to restrict participation for prizes for six states in the U.S. and in the providence of Quebec.

Thank You,

Fanball

For $1 million it might be worth establishing a second residency
